Hi Everyone!

I was sleeved on 8/25/11 by Dr. Rabkin in San Francisco. My highest ever weight was 255 when I was about 26 years old. Then I moved to Japan for a year and a half and my weight dropped to about 163, without even thinking about it!!! The lifestyle there is just so different, that I was eating healthy and exercising without having to make any conscious effort on my part!!! It was so wonderful and I was so happy during those 15 short months. However, when I moved back to the US last year and got a stressful job working long hours, my weight ballooned back up to around 248 or so. I was so depressed. I knew at that moment that I was not going to be spend the rest of my life holding back and regretting my life because of my weight. Living in Japan I begun to experience how great it feels to be close to a normal weight, and I wasn't going to let that slip through my fingers. I swore to myself that my 30's would not be a repeat of my teens and 20's. Now as I sit here recovering from the surgery, I just can't keep a smile off my face, knowing that this time the weight will come off and stay off!! I've already joined a gym, and as soon as I'm recovered my husband said he'd go with me every day. There's a lot of reasons for wanting to lose weight, but everyone on this board could probably list them as well as I could. This just means everything not only to me, but to my husband and our life together as well. He's very active and keeps saying how he can't wait for us to play tennis and soccer together! I'll try and put some before and afters up as time progresses. Wish me luck!!
