  1. Hi to everyone! I started with all the exams last winter and was very excited to have my lapband in the summer of 2010. Just as all was wrapping up and coming near, I lost my job. =( And of course my insurance went with it. Since then i've been working, but my job does NOT have insurance or benefits of any kind. I've been trying all sorts of diets and things to push me forward. Things such as the HCG diet, and even a biggest loser competition within friends and coworkers. Though I lose 5-10 pounds on and off, it's just not enough! I've recently applied for medicaid, and am waiting for answers. I'm hoping they say yes, and yes and yes to everything! I wanted to know, does anyone know if medicaid is a good way to go about lapband? What are the requirements, and what do they ask for? Is it a 6month waiting period or less? do most doctors accept it? Thanks to all those that can answer some of these questions =)
