  1. Thank God! I thought I was the only one. My husband is so tired of me telling him how to eat and what to eat:)

  4. I agree and it is so sad that it is acceptable.
  5. Way to go!! I am so jealous :
  6. Sounds like sour grapes to me. He did not succeed and doesn't want anyone to think it might be his own fault.
  7. I am concerned about eating out. I just seems strange to me now that to eat out stresses me, but before surgery we ate out all the time.
  8. I am still on mushies...however, I am eating things like tender chicken that I mash up with a fork. I cannot take any more of the canned chicken
  9. Good luck to you! I actually sleep on the couch or on the lounger for 2 weeks . You will find a place. cat
  10. I was banded on August 22nd and everything has been going great. I had very little gas issues; but, I started walking, using Gas X, and a heating pad as soon as I got home. However, two weeks later I have sharp pain in my left shoulder and the left side of my neck. The pain is definitely worse in my neck. In addition, I have been losing steadily until the day before yesterday when I gained a pound back. I talked to the Dr's office today and she said cut some of my calories out, but I am only getting about 800/cal a day and I walk about 1.5 miles a day. I am getting all of my protein and water. Is this all normal or am I doing something wrong?
  11. Congratulations and way to go!!!
  12. Hi Annette and Welcome! I had surgery on August 22nd and have also found incredible information on this site, I hope you are doing well and good luck on your journey.
  13. Glad you are here. I am a newbie to the band too and I am kind of just winging it . I have not had a fill yet; however, my doctor has me at the mushie stage and I am not able to eat much at all. Getting all of my water and protein is a chore, but I am sticking with it. Good Luck!
  14. Thanks for the replies. I had clear liquids the day after surgery and full liquids the rest of the first week and then mushies starting on day 8. I have lost steadily until today and I have gained a pound. At this point, I don't know what is going on. Just gonna tough it out though.
  15. I was banded on August 22nd and have been progressing very well. However, since I have been on mushies I can not eat but a few bites and I get a very full feeling like I have ate a four course meal. It seems like the food just gets to my stomach and sits. I know the goal of lap band, but I did not think I would feel so tight without a fill. I have been losing weight steady and have had no other real issues. Is this normal?
  16. I understand you dilemma. I made bbq pulled chicken in the crock-pot so it is so tender, juicy and good But, I would love to have a smoked turkey leg.
  17. I have a lot of trouble getting my protein and my Water, so I am probably not the best one to ask . Although, since I have been on mushies this week it has gotten so much easier.
  18. Congratulations!! You are now on your way. I have not been banded long, but it seems to be getting easier and easier. Good Luck!
  19. You could try Dr. Victor Gonzalez in Dallas. He is very thorough and professional. His number is 972-566-7180. cat
  20. Welcome! I had surgery on August 22nd and so far I love it! Good Luck to you!
  21. I have named mine.....BLING!!! lmao
  22. I was banded by Dr. Gonzalez on August 22nd. I am very impressed with his professionalism and compassion. He answered every question I had and worked with me on any issues that arose during the pre-surgery process. Renee and Martha that work in the office are excellent. I would definitely recommend Dr. Gonzalez to anyone wanting the lap band. If you have any other questions please feel free to ask. Good Luck! Cat
