  1. Happy 54th Birthday Petunias!

  2. About a month ago I got my second fill and it took me 3 weeks to realize that I was too tight. I couldn't eat more than 2 or 3 nibbles without slimming really bad and I wasn't able to get my daily water in either. I was never really hungry though. I lost 9 pounds in 3 weeks, which was great! I did realize that this was not the way I wanted to live and went back to get a little unfill. I'm not sure how much the doctor took out, but I can definitely consume more and eat more healthily. Now the downside..I'm hungry all the time and I need to use more will power to avoid eating junk food. I'm wondering where the green zone is for other bandsters. How much are you able to eat at one meal to be satisfied until your next meal?

    5 Days Post Op!!!

I had my surgery last Thursday morning. The doctor also repaired a hiatal hernia and a morgagni hernia. I have quite a bit of noise coming from both ends and gurgling around inside. I have the left shoulder pain too, which is quite painful at times. It's good to know that is a common side effect.

    Approved..finally!

It has been a long stressful haul since I started all of this last July. I had to file an appeal with my insurance company to get an initial consultation with my surgeon because my Health Management office said that my BMI was too low to warrant the evaluation. Now I have to get all of my testing done and lose 5% of my weight before they will schedule the surgery. I wonder how long all of this will take. I'm glad that I didn't give up when I was thinking about it. Many thanks to all of you who encouraged me to keep at it even when I wanted to give up
  7. Thank you for the information. Looks like it will do the job.
  8. I understand your anger, your doctor sounds a lot like my old one! I can tell you that the drugs don't work long term and can make you feel like total crap when you are on them. I would find myself eating to try to feel better!
  9. I got your message on my board, thanks so much for your concern ans support. Its amazing how God can place people in your life at the times you most need them, even if they are a stranger. When you left your message last night, I was going through the worst time. The gas has been a major issue for me, and I was not able to hold down my 3 teaspoons of soup. This is what I wanted so smile.

  10. I saw that you just had your surgery a few days a ago, just wanted to wish you well.

    BEER ON THE BAND

I'm addicted to Diet Pepsi and I'm giving it up starting now - even though my surgery won't be for months. I don't want to be completely miserable afterwards.
  13. Thank you for the info - I'll keep you posted on how it helps me
  14. Thanks, I will keep you posted.
