  1. Subs, you're right. We will just fight and WIN!!! Lolli, hang in there. We can do this!!!
  2. I'm a carb addict. First day of 2 week pre op diet and a stressful day at work makes me want one thing...salty potato chips. I'm fighting it. This is more than a test of will power. This is a test of my fortitude. SOOOO glad I found this site. What a way to vent. Hope all you other October bandsters are hanging in there. We have SO much to look forward to.
  3. Thanks Bayou. I'm being banded on October 27. Very excited.
  4. Victoria, yes I have been told it causes gas but thank you. I wanted some input from people with experience.
  5. I chew gum constantly. I think it will be great post op, however I have heard from several people that gum chewing is a no-no. Anyone still chew gum? Anyone been told you can't / shouldn't?
  6. looking forward to posting here as well! 17 days!!!
  7. Hi, Heather. I'm on the same schedule as you. I will start my pre-op diet on the 13th as well. I am going to use Jay Robb protein shakes. What are you using?
  8. I introduced myself awhile back. Since then I've been lurking, learning and reading lots. I received my authorization last week. I'm scheduled for Oct 27. I have only told a select few friends. It's odd to me that they are all so quick to tell me horror stories that they've heard or tell me about a friend of a friend of a friend who didn't succeed. I KNOW that if I work this tool properly I WILL be successful. I'm glad there is a place like this on the web. Good luck to everyone.
  9. Thank you so much, Debora Anne. I'm very excited. I've been reading through the forum and am so thrilled that there is so much information. What a wonderful resource.
  10. Hi, Weesie! I am just now finishing up the final things before my surgery. My doctor's office has not set a date for me yet but I should know this week. Very excited, nervous, scared, anxious all in one. How have you been since your surgery?
  11. Hello! I'm new here and trying to figure all this out. I feel like I've discovered a gold mine here. What an amazing resource. . Looking forward to the future!!!!!
