  1. Wow, you are an inspiration for the rest of us! Congratulations. It is difficult when you hit a bump in the road. I am glad you kept going.
  2. Surgery was 8/12--14cc band with 5cc. 1st fill was 9/12, 3cc (total of 8cc). 2nd fill 9/28 of 2cc (total of 10cc) I still do not feel any restriction. Hopefully, the third time will be a charm...
  3. Keep up the good work. You are an inspiration for the rest of us.
  4. My surgery was on a Friday and I went back to work on Tuesday. I could have gone back on Monday. The only time I took the liquid pain killer was on the night of surgery. The surgery is really not that bad. Make sure to get plenty of walking in to help relieve the pressure from the gas, drink your fluids, and rest. You will be fine when you go back to work. Nobody even knew (or knows) that I had surgery--it was just a long weekend.
  5. Are you sure you want to do that on the day before vacation? I think I would wait until I came home just in case it was too tight.

  7. I do not understand. If this was your first fill, where did she draw the 8.6 from? I thought we were 'empty' until our first fill.

  12. Until you have everything under control, have you tried weighing, measuring, and journaling everything you eat? The 'portions' I see on my plate are not always the portion size that I am supposed to be consuming. I think my eyes get bigger or else I "forget" that taste of this or bite of that as counting towards my caloric/carb intake. Try going back to writing down everythng you eat for a week and see if that does not help. I know it is boring and hard to do, but it is also effective.

  14. I am using Sparkpeople.com to track my intake. It is a free site that also has many other health related articles.
  15. I was right behind you yesterday and can totally understand the gas pains and the agony of trying to get out of a bed, chair, sofa, and do not even try the recliner chair. We will get through this. Pretty soon we may feel hungry and we will be able to eat real food, albeit in smaller portions. I am glad you are doing well!

  17. All I can say is "WOW". Your surgery sure made a difference in your appearance. I bet you feel better also.
  18. Good luck! I am right behind you tomorrow. Post tonight and tell us how you feel.
