bigbaby--yes, that is correct. I haven't had one. The weight was coming off nicely, so I didn't see the point of getting a fill. Well, when the weight slowed down, time for a fill, my doctor left the city. So I'm transferring to another doctor, which took 6 months just to get an appointment. It's today and I'm very excited!

Shoot yes! I haven't had a fill. My first fill is March 4th! I'm really excited. Still can't believe almost 2 years and FIRST fill! lol!
-
Thank you very much! I have an appointment March 4th for a fill.

Someone on another thread is really hyping Dr. Woodman's patient client relationship to be very impressive. I have been placed on a waiting list for Dr. Weaver's office since July and had a scheduled appointment for October 22nd, only to get a call last week telling me to call back in January to reschedule, her new office wasn't ready for new patients.
BTW I am a former patient of Dr. Tichansky; UT Medical Group, which closed in August of this year.
I'm very disappointed. Just trying to get a fill.

OMG! Thank you so much! I have had my bad for over a year with no fills, tried to get into UT to find out in July they were closing! I contact Dr. Weaver had an appointment for October 22nd. They called me only to say" we are moving, call us in January to reschedule! WTH?

Hello Mellie and welcome. I understand what you mean by finding the time. I have been off for the last two weeks. I'm implementing a new program on Monday which just so happens to be the first day of the month. My problem it's time to weight lift and I don't quite knowhow to do that. I have weights at home since I don't have time to attend a gym. I also have that large ball to workout with as well. But Mellie how I got where I am is pushing through. If I had to get up earlier I do. I had a family forum and explained to everyone about mine and their lifestyle change and how it would affect the entore family. So feel that it is not childrens business but I strongly disagree. Some day they will have families of their own and can see now the sacrifice they had to make in order to help mother get to a healthy weight so that they will prevent it from happening to them, before it starts. Didn't mean to run with this thread, however, I do feel that it is important in this journey to include our spouse and children to be successful.

I'm sorry but where is Detorit? Is "Beliteweight" a support group or group of doctors

Man, I can't believe you have not had a fill yet! That is amazing. I go for my fourth on Monday. If memory serves me correctly, though...I have less than 3cc in my band...but I really don't recall and will have to ask on Monday.
Good luck to you and keep us posted!
Thanks Stephanie! I can't wait until I have thighs like yours!:clap2:

I need your secret! LOL
(Anyone who "gets" this picture is AWESOME, too! )
Thank you! Stephani, I lost 23lbs. before surgery. I've onlylost 44 lbs since surgery. I haven't had a fill yet. My doctor said that's normal, I just can't eat alot. I do step aerobics, jog 5 miles and learning to weight train next week. I don't eat 2-3hours prior to bed time and I drink my bidy weight in Water. I do take Lipo6 as a thermogenic and EAS Phosphagen with creatine to build muscle.

hello all! I was banded June 25, 2007. I have lost a total of 67 lbs. I can't wear half the clothing in my closet. But how do I release the fear of getting rid of them? I'm going to try this weekend to take them away, clean out my closet. I have this phobia of doing that. As if I expect to be able to wear them again. Anyone else experiencing this? Any suggestions?

nkent this is great? Can you tell us what weight you came from and what your weight loss goals are?
-

I'm doing grits and oatmeal. I completely forgot about cream of wheat! Love the egg whites, however, I prefer to make omelets on the weekends and add vegetables such as peppers onions and mushrooms.

yes the diet is aimed at shrinking your liver. This is achieved because when u are not eating much your body uses up glycogen which is stored in your liver. It also has Water with it so by using it up the liver shrinks and is out of the way of your stomach.Karin xx:D
Wow, I didn't know it was that indepth. I know what to tell pre-op people. Thanks!

Hi all! I've been afraid of cheese too! I think it is because of it's thickness. I will try some extra sharp over the weekend.

Hello,
I think this depends on how much physical activity you are doing. If you are doing intense training, cardio and strength, you may need something stronger. May I suggest if you are, GNC's Women's Ultra Mega Active Multi Vitamin. Great product. It has electrolyte replacement, bone health and antioxident support.

I dont even know if this should be in the "food" section of the site but i had 2 general questions regarding foodA- I was wondering if you can overeat - "Stretch" the pouch without something getting stuck.
because yesterday i ate and felt extremely full and uncomfortable but nothing got stuck
B- What causes "PBing" or leads to it ? is it possible to prevent it
thank you
Does PB mean "progressive burping?" Is it bad to burp?:cry

PamalaYou lost 50 lbs in one month OMG that's great almost like bypass... What are you eating.. Have you had a fill yet??
Actually day of surgery I was 245. I've lost 28 pounds since surgery. I lost 24 pre-op. I haven't had a fill as of yet, I wouldn't be able to eat. I will schedule one when my band loosens up. Keep in mind, results vary.:clap2:

I'm one month out from lap band surgery and thankful I had it. I've lost 50 pounds and have 45 more to go to reach my goal weight. It is not a miracle pill, it is a lifestyle change. I have never had a problem loosing weight, only problem, keeping it off. I had female problems, high blood pressure, heel spurs and back pain. With just the first 50 pounds gone, I have none of the above problems. It is not an easy way out. It has saved my life. So I am a proud lap band owner, and look forward to my new life with fitness, exercise, and incorporation of good eating.
