    Gallstones Anyone?

I am one year post-op and I just had my gallbladder out yesterday after having severe attacks for the last month. I wouldn't hesitate to have it out during your sleeve surgery. I wish I would have had gallstones a year ago just so I wouldn't have had to go through another surgery.

    Any Complications?

I'm a year out and I'm having my gallbladder removed on 10/29. Yay, for another surgery. Apparently, I'm one of the lucky 2% who have issues after surgery. I was on actigall for 6 months post-op to prevent gallstones but I still got them anyways.

    Gallstones?

So I'm in the ER right now after having what I assume to be a gallbladder attack. I'm a year post op and the attacks started about a month ago. I was prescribed Actigall after surgery and took it until my surgeon told me to stop. I did have an ultrasound a week ago and it did show signs of stones but no inflammation. My ultrasound before surgery showed no stones. Is this a common problem for people post-op?

    I Did It!

I'm at my goal weight!!! I'm so excited. I haven't been this weight since I was a junior in High School. Now, it's time to really focus on tightening up the flabby areas as much as I can then decide if I want to have plastic surgery.
  5. Highest: 240 At surgery(10/10/11): 226 Current: 138 Total loss of 102lbs. I'm only 3lbs away from my goal!

    Any Shorties?

    I'm 5'2 and pre-surgery I was 240lbs. I'm now 8 months post-op and down 92lbs. Only 13lbs to my goal!
  7. I told my immediate family, a few of my friends and a few people at work. The reason I wasn't open about it was due to all the stories everyone wants to tell you about how they know someone who had the surgery and this or that happened. I didn't want to hear that for the rest of my life. Now when people ask I just tell them I lost the weight by portion control and exercise. It may be a little white lie but it's one to keep my sanity.

    Gurgles

I'm 4 months out and still gurgle. It happens with certain foods or if I eat too fast. I was embarrassed by it at first, but now I just make jokes about it when it happens.

    Getting In All Your Liquids?

I'm 4 months out and still struggling to get all my liquids in. I'm lucky if I get in 32oz a day. I just don't drink a lot, I never have.

    Jeans

I just purchased my goal jeans last week. They are L.A.M.B. skinny jeans in a size 10.
  13. I'm 5'3 and started my journey at 240lbs. At surgery I was 226lbs in size 24 pants and 1X tops. I'm almost 4 months post-op and weigh 184 and am in size 16 pants and large tops.

    NSV shout outs

Some recent NSV's: 1. I fit in an airplane seat without my butt squishing onto the next seat. lol 2. I put on a pair of size 16 jeans and they fit!! (I started at 24) 3. My boss and co-worker keep telling me how jealous they are of my hourglass figure and how they wish they had a tiny waist like mine.
  15. I have a love/hate relationship with exercise. Pre-op there were months I was religious about it then I'd slack off for months. When my Dr suggested I start some form of exercise before surgery I tried going back to the gym but I was too heavy and it was killing my knees. So I avoided excercise until about 2 months post-op. I still hate the gym but after losing 50lbs I'm having a much easier time exercising. Plus I lose faster when I go to the gym so it's great motivation.
