  5. I'm at my goal weight!!! I'm so excited. I haven't been this weight since I was a junior in High School. Now, it's time to really focus on tightening up the flabby areas as much as I can then decide if I want to have plastic surgery.
  6. Highest: 240 At surgery(10/10/11): 226 Current: 138 Total loss of 102lbs. I'm only 3lbs away from my goal!

  9. I'm 5'2 and pre-surgery I was 240lbs. I'm now 8 months post-op and down 92lbs. Only 13lbs to my goal!
  10. I told my immediate family, a few of my friends and a few people at work. The reason I wasn't open about it was due to all the stories everyone wants to tell you about how they know someone who had the surgery and this or that happened. I didn't want to hear that for the rest of my life. Now when people ask I just tell them I lost the weight by portion control and exercise. It may be a little white lie but it's one to keep my sanity.

  13. Yay! I'm finally in this group. I have 30lbs to lose until I hit my goal.

  15. I'm 4 months out and still gurgle. It happens with certain foods or if I eat too fast. I was embarrassed by it at first, but now I just make jokes about it when it happens.
  16. I'm 4 months out and still struggling to get all my liquids in. I'm lucky if I get in 32oz a day. I just don't drink a lot, I never have.
  17. I just purchased my goal jeans last week. They are L.A.M.B. skinny jeans in a size 10.
  18. I'm 5'3 and started my journey at 240lbs. At surgery I was 226lbs in size 24 pants and 1X tops. I'm almost 4 months post-op and weigh 184 and am in size 16 pants and large tops.
  19. I have a love/hate relationship with exercise. Pre-op there were months I was religious about it then I'd slack off for months. When my Dr suggested I start some form of exercise before surgery I tried going back to the gym but I was too heavy and it was killing my knees. So I avoided excercise until about 2 months post-op. I still hate the gym but after losing 50lbs I'm having a much easier time exercising. Plus I lose faster when I go to the gym so it's great motivation.
  20. Start using my Kinect Fitness game 3 mornings a week and hit the weights at the gym afterwork to tone up.
  21. Had surgery on 10/10/11 and I am down 45lbs as of this morning.
  22. I told a few friends, immediate family & a few of my co-workers. Basically people I felt needed to know and I knew would keep the information to themselves.
  23. I'm 11 days post-op and I have the shoulder pain. It went away around day 5 and then it came back around day 8. I notice when I walk or stand up the pain is less but when I sit or lay down the pain increases. The hypocondriact in me says I have a leak but the rational side says it could be gas or possible muscle damage from surgery. I guess I'll wait it out and see what happens.
