It is getting closer
need to hear about the good @@doxaholic et al - very long again - get a glass of water!! bad/sad/regretful stories seem to stick out/remembered more often it's good for people to vent - one reason to come here please don't dwell on the bad - negative thoughts NOW - the good stuff........... many wonderful things to look forward to in your new life NSV's galore!!! health and happiness are on the top of the list diabetes, high blood pressure, CPAP, mobility etc.- should/will get better as time passes those are just a few example of health improvements many good/funny discussions are always out there pork chops, 20 oz pieces of steak etc pizza pizza pizza!! good sex discussions about when, and how!! many more topics that you love/want to hear about (nature of the beast!!) they are all out there to be heard and giggled about like you requested to see we are a fun group!!! (that's what you wanted!!) WLS one week from Monday!!! nerves will continue - ups and downs you know that!! it's all good, you'll do great hugggggs kathy PS the above is my condensed version, you should have seen it before!! LOL

@@10yearstolate never had those problems I sympathize with your issues i can only imagine the difficult time you are going through hope you have support from family/friends you and doc are working together towards a fix/solution i see you just joined BP welcome, welcome hope your stick around there's a lot of good info to read advice, suggestions, "real life" experiences etc you've lost 70 lbs!!! that's great possibly much of that weight was attributed to being sick but it's still gone hope you slowly but surely feel better sooner than later take care good luck kathy

@@CowgirlJane thanx for the shout out!!! i don't think you visit BP anymore miss you i turned 58 years OLD 1 month post sleeve I will be 63 years YOUNG in 6 weeks i did lose 105 lbs 1 year PO now, (5 years later) i fluctuate UP between 6-10 lbs working on losing a little more, but i'm still good to go in another month (12/15/16) i will Celebrate my 5th year surgiversary kathy

@@Kila Rass welcome, welcome, welcome age is a variable of how quickly/ or if your skin does "bounce" back elasticity of your body/skin - you shouldn't have that much loose skin having a lower bmi also means you have less weight/skin to loose you are 24!!! - a youngun - don't worry about some "possible" loose skin worrying causes wrinkles LOL i am/was a youngun like you thirty nine (39) years ago!!! you sound and "look" llike a pre-newbie you have a lot to look forward to hope DOS is sooner than later good luck kathy

@@Ssze1109 i would add Water or milk to my powered Protein now i buy pre-mixed GNC protein lean shake great drinks to get plenty of water in and protein win, win covering my non-existent assss some NUTS might tell you not to count shake as liquid raising my glass to your health good luck kathy

Worried about not losing weight
@@matthewsmiguy welcome, welcome to the board 405 to 364 lbs - that's great down 41 lbs within 2 week period after surgery you're already considered a "big loser" as long as you are following your doc/nuts rules you are doing everything right i'm sure you are drinking plenty of Water (64 oz?) Protein, etc the weight WILL come off in its own due time some people leave the hospital with a weight gain (IV solution/water) others haven't lost at all never compare yourself with others you are taking in such a little amount of calories in you can't help but lose weight don't stare at the scale all the time weigh once a week if you can control yourself otherwise, hide scale from yourself good luck bud you are doing great "God Grant Me Patience, Just Hurry Up About It" kathy congrats

Family gathers make me depressed
@@ameme IMO its good that now you aren't craving this yummy food you don't want to eat that "nasty" heavenly food not wanting to eat stuff helps being around all that food i do understand it might be frustrating to see all that food around the table it is hard being around people that are eating and eating and eating more you are the one that is adapting to a new life with less food etc they don't need to change, you can't expect them to buttttt... they could be more considerate!! you "sound" like a youngun take your own portion, don't let mom over stuff your plate other people are good at that try and keep your head up gently remind people about your situation some might care - others might say yeah your point take care hun try and keep your spirits up while your weight goes down good luck bud kathy

@@mylastchance21 your doc told you that things were going well believe him - i don't think he would steer you wrong glad he was compassionate, trying to reassure you congrats on your weight loss you are on the right tract doing everything right with eating and drinking in this early time period PO, people are losing weight all over the place - different amounts some gain, stay the same, and if they are lucky they will loose like you did don't worry now - you'll have time to do that later you are doing terrific keep up the good work good luck kathy
