  1. @NYCNomad Height does make a difference regarding the BMI, but they didn't measure your height, approval went through, they shouldn't turn around and deny you now. don't be a worry wart LOL - you have a DOS - hopefully it's soon, then you can breathe easier PO. BTW - many OP are approved with under a 40 BMI - if they have certain problems. diabetes, high blood pressure etc. Sounds like your inner voice (conscious) is bothering you. that's ok, hope your nose doesn't grow too much good luck speedy recovery kathy

    When to increase intake?

@Tyson4834 happy water is going down smoothly. at this early point in the game, i was told to take small sips, increasing gradually. i was told not to gulp at your early stage - no damage will happen drinking ever- (worry wart!! LOL) you'll be able to gulp/ drink more at a faster pace, before you know it . don't believe you can drink toooo much water. The more water you drink the better. holding a glass of water up, drinking to your health and success. good luck Kathy

    X marks the spot

I figured that out earlier, (about the tentative change) but it doesn't make sense to me. the x automatically pops op, if i click it there, then it will remove or change my reaction. i understand that i might want to do that. but i just want to click on the emoticon without always being asked "do i want to change my mind"!! hope i said that right?? i asked OP, she said she doesn't ever get that X mark. kathy
  13. when i push the heart in reference to "like", a little X pops up and stays there

    6 year surgiversary

hey dudes/dudettes six years ago today (12-15) i was waiting to go into the OR!! like most others i was terrified - so excited. having the sleeve was a great decision. i did it!!! i am still around and able to talk about "it" i did have my ups and downs, but easy recovery, all was/is good. i've enjoyed many wonderful NSV's. buying smaller clothes in a regular store. sitting in the middle seat of three on an airplane. i am able to do many normal, basic day to day activities now that i had difficulty doing six (6) years ago! it's wonderful. might sound silly, but i love that i am able to bend up and down and up and down etc., pulling those damnnn weeds on my front lawn!! no longer run from the camera (especially family pics) sit closer to the steering wheel. i get in and out of the car with no trouble. putting on seat belt is no prob. when i sat down in restaurant booth and movie seat for the 1rst time after weight loss, i said "these seats have gotten bigger!! my health has dramatically improved.!! medication dosages have been lessened or gone all together. i KNOW my attitude has changed/improved. i feel better than before about myself. i am not perfect!! welllll, then again!! LOL Life is NOT all peaches and cream just cuz i lost weight. i still might have problems. But the fact that i look pretty damnnnn good, helps me to deal with some issues better than when i was heavy. i could tell you more about some problems - but then what would i tell you on my 7th year surgiversary? my sleeve is very smart - it helped teach me how to eat and drink properly - knowledge of Proteins and carbs and other things. moderation etc. at 6 years - my success must/does all come from my head/mind!! i'm on my own. (no restriction left to speak of) but that's ok. i remember everything i learned - work hard to follow the rules all the time. but, once again, even i'm not perfect, really. sad to say i am 8.3 lbs over GOAL, but i am working on fixing situation. (guess honesty is one of my better qualities) LOL see you next year Kathy

    What happens if you overeat?

@nurse123 way back when, in a galaxy far far away i would overeat a bit when i did, i got all hot and sweaty i felt my forehead getting red i would lay down for a 1/2 an hour, problem resolved!! learned my lesson motto - don't overeat!! good luck bud kathy

  24. @Alex Brecher proudgrammy is still having issues receiving email from the forums. I've checked her profile and the correct email address is coded. I've tested the Spectrum mail servers and she can successfully send emails to herself. I'm also seeing occasional email from other senders show up. We tried sending herself a PM from the forum and nothing showed up in her in basket. She had problems like this before and I had to create a new mailbox for her so she would get the emails. I can't think of a way to get further under the hood to diagnose what is going on. Need help here. Thanks. Tom (dh)
