  1. Quixotic,

I was thinking the same as the previous poster. Just curious are you or were given any type of post op guidelines. I am not sleeved yet but already have the post op diet information. It says to be on the"full liquid" diet from day 3 until two weeks and then your are on pureed foods (mushies) until week 8. It's not until week 9 that you go to soft solid foods. Again..I won't be sleeved for another 3 weeks but I am reading the post diet guidelines. Just something to think about...wishing you the best.

  4. Welcome to the board and thanks for your kind words. As I have said before, I doubt I would be getting this surgery without these forums to encourage me. I am five days away from getting sleeved and am nervous but very hopeful. God has opened all the doors for me and I know he won't leave me to my own devices now. I hope all goes well for you in your future sleeve plans.

    Anne

Congratulations Anne, That is my middle name (smile) you will be in my thoughts and prayers. Best of luck and a speedy recovery. Please do keep us posted on your success.

    Cheers,

  5. Hello Sleeve Sisters & Brothers,

My name is Davida (Da-Vee-Da) not David (lol). I have been lurking the boards for while and secretly receving insight and encouragment from all of you. Your struggles, sucesses, and concerns are mine as well. I have decided after a life long struggle with my weight and a straight 15 years of yo-yo dieting that I am getting sleeved. My new beginning date is Jan 6th 2011, less than a month after my 41st birthdate. I just wanted to say Hi and to thank all of you for baring your souls on these forums, your words are not in vain. Even though no one may say it, you are helping and encouraging people like me. I have so many emotions regarding this surgery, but I know the Creator did not bring me this far to leave me. I have been stuck on this chapter of my life to long, it's time to turn the page. I know the best is yet to come. Stay encouraged All.
