  1. :hurray: My sleeve date is July 5th in Margate, FL
  2. Thanks Nancy!! I will give that link a try!!
  3. Happy Happy Joy Joy and Thank You Lord!!!  I have my date!!! I will be sleeved on July 5th and I am super duper excited!!  Here are my details: My insurance:BCBS PPO of Florida (Empire) is covering the surgery at 90% since I have met my deductible. So, out-of-pocket cost for me is going to total $650 ($500 Surgeon's Fee and $150 co-pay). I am having bloodwork done by my PCP, a chest X-ray, and EKG. Following these tests I have to get a letter of surgical clearance from my PCP, then I am good to go. Approximately 2 weeks prior to surgery I am required to be on a specialized diet which is 5 Protein drinks a day and 1 "Lean and Green Meal' (Protein and Veggies only) and drink plenty of Water. I can't believe this is really going to happen!! :clap2: I have a couple questions for those of you who have been through this: where can I get protein samples, and which ones are best?? Any feedback or advice is appreciated so much!!:cheer2:

  5. Okay, so I am new here and wanted to give a quick synopsis about me to introduce myself. Hello to all! I am a 34 year young female in the process of waiting for a decision from my insurance company regarding my sleeve surgery. Info was submitted by surgeon on 5/24/11. I live in south Florida and my surgeon is Dr. Wizman. I have been overweight since I was approximately 21 and obese-morbidly obese since my mid twenties. My BMI at this stage is 43  , but I am hoping to change that really soon!! Well, that's all for now-just really glad I found this site......I am gonna go nuts during this wait!!! Pray for me!!:amen:
