(no sure if that is a good or bad thing) but i'll just follow instructions :) starting today, i feel a little anxious. My dreams are of surgery and being skinny.. ha ha! part of me can't wait and part of me is doubting.. i know i'm diong the right thing. its permanent and thats what i need. We'll do great!

  8. So, now that I've gotten approval from insurance and got a date 8/22, I feel like the days are just draggin by I don't know what to do with myself.. I think I've got it under control and I'm trying to stay positive, but I feel like I'm going crazy  I should be in a great mood, and instead I find myself snapping at everyone and very on edge... waiting is the worst.

    no special pre op diet?

my doctor doesnt require one either. Just clear liquids for most of the day before surgery (i can have breakfast) and then nothing by mouth starting at midnight the day of surgery
  10. I will be at good samaritan hospital in san jose california. My surgeons name is dr. Jossart. I made everyone in my family go on this diet with me so that I wouldn't have to continue to cook!! Luckily, they enjoy juicing so it worked out ill see how long we all last on this have you lost any weight with the liquid diet you're on now?
  11. Thanks sassygirl! You will get there a week before me! I'm so jealous!! LOL! I haven't been put on liquids yet, but I imagine if I do, the clock will litterally stop and it will be pure torture from that day forward. I'm currently doing a self imposed fresh fruit and veggie juice cleanse for about 10 days. Luckily, my whole family is doing it with me so it should work out okay ill let you know if I lose any weight doing this cleanse thanks for your words. You're day is coming up fast!
  12. You are very brave!! and i understand how logistically it worked out this way. Much luck on your trip. I'm sure everything will work out beautifuly text or email if you need to chat the day of. Do you know what time you will be actually having the surgery?

Pre-Op in SF Bay Area, CA

I agree. I would definitely prefer an experienced surgeon over being nice. The awesome thing about Dr. Jossart is that you get both The expertise, the great bedside manner and the competent understanding and hard working staff he has. Up until a few months ago, Dr. Jossart and Cirangle were in the same practice. Both told me that they use the same proven technique. They both have all their bases covered with any side effects. I've already got all my prescriptions for anything that "might" happen. A lot of the things that I've read about on this site are things that my doctor has already considered and taken precautions to avoid... its great having one of the best Dr.s in the world and feeling well taken care of. I'm sure you'll have a great experience with Dr. Cirangle and if you have the cash to pay for the "program fee", well thats even better!! I just feel very blessed that we are able to get this surgery done since there are so many people out there can't because they don't have the insurance or the money to be able to My heart goes out to them.

Well, are you cash paying or insurance? Dr cirangle is definitely one of the best! He and dr jossart are the dr.s that actually pioneered the sleeve. They have a "technique" that they use. I just don't like the "program fee" that his office charges. $5750 for patients with insurance.
  23. Aww.. That sux I wish I could just sleep for a couple weeks and then wake up to the surgery being all done 19 days and counting!!
  24. Today I got all my prescriptions. I'm expecting a phone call next week to discuss all my pre-op instructions. I can't beleieve we are soo close now I'm so happy and excited!!
  25. That is soooo awesome!!!! Congrats!!
