  1. Hey ladies, the gas presure and pain is what has been hard. Plus I've just been depressed. It seems to have gotten somewhat better now that I've returned to work although I wish I could have had more time off. I do get exhausted by the end if the day and now to top it off I got a cold that makes me sneeze and cough all the time and makes my stomach hurt. I know it will all get better! X-ing my fingers
  2. Hi Sheena, My name is Cathy and I also got banded on th 10th of this month. How is it going for you? It's been a little rough for me. Cathy
  3. Thank you soooo much for you words!
  4. As I had mentioned before, I have bipolar disorder and I'm starting to feel it right now.... I feel depressed and confused asking myself why I did this.... Maybe I could have lost the weight some way.... I know my dr said not to weight myself but I did and I know i've lost 16 lbs in only 10 days which is great, but I'm just not excited right now. I'm still having horrible gas pains that wake me up in the middle of the night. I am not asleep more than 10 minutes sometimes that it wakes me up. The most i'll stay asleep is maybe 90 minutes max... that is really making me tired and because I'm not eating much I don't have much energy. I do walk around my house a lot to try to metabolize the gas like the DR said, but it doesn't take it away. I get hiccups which hurt too. I still have diarreha and the imodium is somewhat helping. We'll see how the rest of the day goes. I go back to work full time tomorrow and I hope I can manage....
  5. Oh ok.... I just got my surgery 2 days ago and was wondering. I hope they don't find anything wrong! Thanks ladies!
  6. I've been a roller coaster when it comes to my weight pretty much my whole life. I've tried every diet and pill on the book to loose weight. And I have lost a significant amount of weight before and gained it back for one reason or another. I've been trying to have beriatric surgery for years and for one reason or another I've been denied before. Even though 1800 get thin scam the insurance companies, are extremely unorganized, and have many issues with their doctors, they did manage to get me my surgery. I had my surgery 6/10/11 in Beverly Hills with Dr. Gee. The day was long and eventfull but it finally happened. I am now recovering at my parent's house and looking forward to thye new me to come. Today is recovery day #2....still on pure clear liquid diet and somewhat in pain. Most of the pain coming from gas still trapped in my cavity. I am resting as much as possible since I go back to work on Tuesday, only 4 days after my surgery. I have many plans on how I will change my eating habits and life style to make this work. I feel like this is my last chance to loose the weight and keep it off. I'm trying to be optimistic, I feel a little depressed tough.....Oh, I forgot to mention that I also have bipolar disorder <a href="http://www.TickerFactory.com/weight-loss/wL4OtvZ/"> <img border="0" src="<A href='http://tickers.TickerFactory.com/ezt/t/wL4OtvZ/weight.png">http://tickers.TickerFactory.com/ezt/t/wL4OtvZ/weight.png"></a>
  7. When I got out of surgery I was told that they did a liver biopsy on me, i kept asking why and they said its something they always do. Does anyone know about this?
  8. I had read about the two brother doctors. Weightloss centers says that when they found out about top surgeons they stopped all affiliation with them. I've searched Dr Gee for hours and I couldn't find anything about him anywhere. I met with him yesterday and he did calm my nerves. He answered all my questions.
  9. Hey Ms Bandit. I meet with the dr today in a few hours. If I don't get a good vibe I will go somewhere else. I did research dr Gee but couldn't find either good or bad things about him any where.
  10. I've been waiting years to be able to get this surgery and I finally got the call yesterday that it was approved! I couldn't believe it. I have my pre-op at 11am today and I'm freaking out. My dr is Dr Julius Gee. I've been researching him online and don't find anything on him. I've read that 1800 get thin drs have had their license revoked or suspended and that some of their patients have died. I've also heard of them scamming the insurance companies with outrageous bills and that part is true. They've charged over $79,000 to mine for only pre op things. I've seen a final bill for the surgery and it's over $149,000 when it should only be between 20-25k. I'm having mixed feelings about this place, but now it's finally approved and idk what to do. I need this surgery :o/ Has anyone had experiences either with 1800 get thin or this dr? Any comments are welcome!
