Plus size clothes, being told "u have a pretty face" when u know they are thinking "what happened to the rest of her", being able to tie my shoes without feeling like my head is going to explode and to actually cross my legs again. Not having to "lift" my stomach so I can dry under it when I get out of the shower, not be embarrassed at the beach, oh the list goes on and on...

So many of these posts I really can relate, but I feel like avoiding pictures even ones with my family at outings makes me the most emotional. My son once asked me where I was at when looking at the photos. My answer...someone had to take the pic. I missed documenting my life and my life with my kids...have a lot of make up to do...

Correct!! We have a mtg Monday to go over insurance changes and never before have I wanted the weekend to be over! Come on Monday.... If it turns out its still covered I will be relieved. But ur so right my concern is they will deny so because they may know my plan is changing n it may not be covered.
I called cigna yesterday and they told me it was pending and had been reviewed. To call back early next week n if there was no decision. To have my doctors office call and talk with the case manager.
Will let u know what happens. Heading out to catch a early movie have a great day and praying u hear something soon.

So this is the second time I tried to get approved for gastric sleeve. It went through and I get surgery on Feb 20th and start the liquid on the 6th which is next wednesday. All very fast pace but I don't care. I'm 21 years old and some people might say that I should try to lose weight on my own but they dont get it. I've been overweight since I was 10. I have a metabolic issue and I need, not just want, this surgery. I was to be comfortable and happy. I have never been so excited and scared in my life. My life is literally going to change. And i can not wait.

Things I won't miss.... my oh so sexy Cpap machine and morning and evening pills!

Refusing to go out because I didn't have anything cute to wear.
Feeling inferior around others.
Thinking I wasn't good enough
Plus size shopping
Wearing sweatpants everywhere
Rejecting my friends phone calls because I knew getting dressed came along with it
Not taking pictures

Not fitting into movie theater seats
Getting winded going upstairs
Sweating
Being anti social
Being referred to as the "fat one"

Staying out if the pool when my husband and children swim !
Being completely covered up at the beach
Barely fitting into the kayak!!!
Oh and feeling inferior out in public...

The aches and pains
The plus size stores
The tight shoes
Dressing like an older lady
The stressful a bath can be because the shower is to small
How long it takes to dry yourself
The folds and rash of the skin
The hard it is to bend down and tie my shoes
The rubbing of my legs
Avoiding the mirror
My lack of confidence

My Surgeon just sent the paperwork to my insurance company. The plan is to have my lap-band removed, wait six weeks and have sleeve surgery. I'm hoping that I won't have to jump through hoops to get approval!

Oh I've heard the food is non stop served on a cruise! My former self would be in heaven lol

Hey guys i made it and i did it with zero opiates even during surgery. Its so not bad at all for you pre opers. And i was the biggest baby ever. Pain in belly is just sorness the most discomfort is the gas and here they said i couldn't use Heating pad something with the electrical. It is sooooooo not bad at all so here is where everyone can kick ms now. The only concern is I've already seen the doc and he is discharving me buf didn't duo leak test. Jan

Don't beat yourself up. You are human and this will happen. I think sometimes when such a big goal is right in front us, we subconsciously think we don't deserve it and are scared. So, we resort back to our OLD way of life. Good luck. Just go back to basics, come here and look at your success. You DO deserve it and have earned it.
