Possible pulled muscle?
This just happened to me in the beginning of the year, lower ab area from over doing exercising. I had that same pain. I talked to the trainer at the gym and then followed up with my doctor. Both told me to watch for any bulging, but that it was likely a pulled muscle. I suffered through that pain daily for about 2 weeks and then it slowly got better. Hope this helps! And slow down! lol

Fat Days...
As I sat here all day loooong, feeling blue and not really knowing why, I started to wonder if post-surgery do you still have fat days? For me it is that TOM (tmi), but you know, those lazy days, you just feel tired, sluggish, and just don't want to move... Btw, I'm better now, made myself get up and shower and taking my son out in a bit to see a basketball game, but just wondering if this still happens...

Any sleevers in the Rockwall, Rowlett, Garland, Mesquite, Dallas Tx. etc. area?
When I was scheduled to have the band in 2011 he was my assigned surgeon, I did alot of research on him, I hear he is good. Never met him though.

Question*~* Did anyone take diet pills prior to surgery?
Personally, I am still in the preapproval process. With that said, I had emergency gall bladder surgery about 3 years ago and was taking Phentermine. I almost didn't have the surgery as about 2 weeks prior I had stopped taking it as I knew something was wrong with me and my blood pressure kept going very very low right before sx. The anesthesiologist made it a point to tell me he doesn't like diet pills and that its very hard for him when monitoring for surgery. My suggestion is to call your doc...

Ladies, what can I do about my abs?
Another tip on the belly weight...first, obviously we all know avoid any carbs, just do high protein, but also if you have any issue with emotional eating, my doctor put me on xanax in addition to phentermine and my stomach started to move a little. I haven't had the surgery yet, but saw a difference when I started taking it.

Ladies, what can I do about my abs?
You can find them by a google search online, but I would wait honestly and do it when the surgeon allows you to.

Ladies, what can I do about my abs?
Check with your doctor, but I would guess that any exercises to do would be ones recommended for C-Section patients, they are indirect. And obviously don't overdo it!

Fun visual ways to track weight loss
Love that I found this! Great ideas, may a braclet and then something at home, in bathroom or bedroom...thinking art or something...

Who else is waiting on approval?
Then I would be glued to their behinds! You have nothing to lose...the insurance has an interest in delaying it as they are losing the account so the coordinator needs to be diligent because they have an interest in getting paid! Keep me posted! I would hope that you would know something within 2 weeks!

Anthem BCBS giving me a headache

Who else is waiting on approval?
I'm down in Dallas, I see your in VA...my prior coordinator wasn't good, I switched after that experience and once I had better insurance. Typically most insurance companies cannot go longer than 30 days for a decision. Also, the surgery date given to the insurance isn't usually your surgery date (I'm sure you know this as you've been through it before.) However, as for your leave, I figure its just like going to the doctor, if I want it I've gotta go through the process. I'm not scheduling my time off for my surgery until I'm approved.

Who else is waiting on approval?
I too submitted before, took 30 days, UHC in 2011, oh and my ins coordinator sucked, was slow and didn't care. Maybe the best because I had applied for the band and I changed my mind AND I have better insurance in my opinion, lol! That opinion may change

What i won't miss about been over weight.
So many of these posts I really can relate, but I feel like avoiding pictures even ones with my family at outings makes me the most emotional. My son once asked me where I was at when looking at the photos. My answer...someone had to take the pic. I missed documenting my life and my life with my kids...have a lot of make up to do... Post Op gift thoughts for myself... A Nice Camera Active Calendar full of Memorable Events!!

Doing a little research on how true can be that your pouch can stretch.
According to my weight loss doctor it can stretch a bit, but not as much as the part that was removed, the fundus, what is left is basically a muscle. So think of any muscle in your body and how far it really can stretch. Thank you for posting these articles. i jumping into them right now!
