  1. Keep in touch! We are here alot, message us if you need help (online, lol)!!
  2. Definitely sounds like head hunger. Also, you don't lose your Ghrelin, it gets reduced. The stats say 50% lose their hunger 50% don't. I'd start with a psych and nutritionist and keep them close for a while! Good luck!
  3. I understand your frustration! Are you tracking and measuring your daily intake? Also, are you stressed in any way? I started on Xanax in the fall because my weight loss doc was at a loss of why I couldn't lose weight *pre-sleeve, and that got it going again. I was keeping it in...
  4. I'm a single mom of 2 boys, a dog, cat and two fish (cat is missing right now, talk about stress). I get sleeved in a week and I'm very nervous, but this is for them also! I am alone with no family, but support groups really help if you can get away to one. My ex will take me home from the hospital and I'm on my own after that! We are here for you and you will do great!!!
  5. March 8th for me!! Thanks!
  6. Yay! Good for you! Welcome! I'm March 8th! Keep in touch! I'm cleaning all weekend! Already had my vision board...still need some more before pics...
  7. Congrats to any March 1st people and Good luck to the March 4th and 5th's!!
  8. I'd call your PCP right away. Doesn't sound normal to me. Sorry you're going through that. The lower right back ache and stool color concern me personally. I'd make an appointment.
  9. Good luck! I hope it works out for you! You are not the only person on here with that struggle and some have had success! Wish the best for you!
  10. I'd call it rough and being dry. Also, if you have antibiotics you increase your chances for a yeast infections. I'd take a few days off and use the Monistat. Go in Friday if you feel the need! Hope you feel better, that sucks!
  11. Prayers for you to Leo! You will do well!
  12. I'm going through the same thing! I was looking at my vision board tonight thinking about this photo I posted of a girl that had a similar body type, but much thinner. When I put it on there a year ago it was only a dream, but now it could be reality. Gives me a whole new perspective on the vision board and I guess its doing what it was meant to do. Accomplish goals! I will be developing my bucket list too! Good luck!
  13. I was told Gas X strips for gas pains and Prevacid twice daily for 3 months for GERD. Between the two I hope I don't have that pain! My doc said the shoulder pain is from gas and that this should lessen the feeling.
  14. This thread is so awesome! And Joatsaint had it right! The 1st to go were the fatties. The next thing to do is go to CA and get some good makeup and blend in like Bill Murray.
  15. I'm on OTC NSaids, but stopped for surgery. Meloxicam cause some internal bleeding so I try not to use prescription NSaids. I am hoping it will resolve with weight loss, at least my doc believes it will. He did say at 60 lbs I should feel a difference. I hope so!
  16. Hellloooooo, I am getting sleeved next week and my back and joint pain seems to be getting worse. Can anyone out there that is post op with the same or similar issues experience any relieve??? I'm not sleeping very well because of it
  17. I suspect UTI as I see you're not a woman. I've had kids and my weight doesn't help, exercises don't help (TMI), I believe that my constant urge to urinate will go away after I lose weight, maybe not.
  18. This may help http://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art16071.asp
  19. I am down 35 lbs from the beginning of 2012 and I am currently on my preop diet. My surgery is schedule next Friday. Recently divorced and feel very awkward around the opposite sex. I've always had my weight to hide behind and I do not look around or up in public. Lately, I've noticed more attention from guys. Not the normal, hey you are cool, but the whole you're hot stuff. This only makes my anxiety worse (I know there are other worries like people who are starving or abused animals), but seriously not fun. I paid attention to how I reacted today and I'm not sure if I am handling it right. I tend to just put them off and tell them they have no chance. Something funny like get in line its gonna be awhile. For the most part its true, I'm a sleeze magnet, but now I can identify them easily (I hope). The issue is that if it is this way and I haven't had the surgery yet, will it get worse? The another fear comes into my head, will I get too thin? I know its pretty much impossible and I've done the math, but scared I will lose my "assets" too. Either way, I still do not want the attention. I haven't been single most of my life, I wouldn't know how to be if I tried...if anyone out there has experience with putting off men you aren't interested in, but letting the nice ones in...please give me your tips! Thanks!
  20. I had the same process, I too cried and I passed. If they are affiliated with the surgeons office you will pass unless there is something really off psychologically like hurting yourself or others, etc.
  21. Thats my date too! Congrats!
  22. No, I think you hit it on the head. I am uncomfortable with attention unless I solicit it. I think that is one reason I ate and ate, and ate. To be invisible. Just take it as a compliment and you are doing wonderful in your weight loss. Allow it to be encouraging to lose more! They don't matter anyway! You do!

Its muscle, increase the protein and increase water. Your body is holding onto it, it wants to keep it! You cannot let it!
