I am also in extreme pain neck, lower back, knees sometimes . I had surgery 3 months ago and have lost 52 lbs so you would think it would be better. I went off of NAIDS 2 weeks before surgery maybe that is it or it could be all the meat I eat now. I never ate much meat beefore.

When I see the surgeon I will ask if it is soon enough to go back on NAIDS.

Are you on NAIDS?

I used to be in constant pain. My back, neck, feet, and knees were always hurting. I am a year and a half post op, down 141 pounds...since losing about 60 pounds of it my pain is gone! I also suffer from gout, and I haven't had any flair ups since about three months post op. good luck! Hope yours goes away too!

I'm on OTC NSaids, but stopped for surgery. Meloxicam cause some internal bleeding so I try not to use prescription NSaids. I am hoping it will resolve with weight loss, at least my doc believes it will. He did say at 60 lbs I should feel a difference. I hope so!
