  1. Just in time for Cinco De Mayo!
  2. dawalsh - that is what I have heard about and looking for - where did you find it? Terry
  3. Does anyone know if there are coffee creamers with not so many calories. I drink the Coffeemate Coconut creme and I swear I have a Ton of calories each day. I just can't give up the flavor. I heard about some flavored liquids. Does anyone know of any substitues. My calories are about 240 just from creamer!
  4. I'm bi-polar and on tons of med and I was approved no problem. Good luck!
  5. I can't I canIiI I can't eat lettuce either
  6. My first band wasn't connected to the tubing. Please have your doctor do a barium swallow to see if there may be some sort of a problem. Maybe you have a leak, who knows, but get it checked out.
  7. How about the sodium levels?
  8. My Dr. had to give me some of my medications in liquid form since I couldn't swallow the bigger ones.
  9. I have Tricare West and I am interested in the changes too. I already have my lap band, but am curious about the changes. I didn't have to do the 6 month diet.
  10. I'm just so thrilled that my team, Gonzaga, has reached the #1 spot!!! Go Bulldogs!
  11. Silly Me! No, I should have said December, 2011. Some of my meds were to big to take, so my dr. put me on liquids. Thanks for noticing my error.
  12. I'm interested too. Puppypaws1957@aol.com
  13. Hi. I'm on a lot of psych meds and it may be harder for us to lose weight since some psych meds may actually cause some of us to gain weight. Not impossible, tho. I was banded Dec 2012 and have only lost 60 lbs, but I am in my 50's and that doesn't work in my favor either. I'm happy with my success so far, though. Good luck to you! Terry
  14. You must be pretty computer savy. I have had this issue for some time and never did figure it out. Thanks to you, I'm back on!!!!
  15. Finally!!!! I tried the login and open too and it worked for me. Many Thanks for the suggestion!
  16. To me, losing the weight isn't the best benefit of the lap band. It is knowing that the band will help me keep it off. At Last!
  17. Jachut - what vitamins helped with the moods?
  18. Yes, this exact thing happened to me. I have Tricare which is a wonderful insurance. I didn't have to pay a thing. Good luck to you. Terry
  19. Have your Dr. check for a leak. I am on my second band because the first one became "unbuckled". Didn't lose weight until Dr. checked for a leak. I have to disagree with some of the posters. The band DOES make me feel full on very little food. Good luck!
  20. Also - very high in sodium. I also ate a fair amount in the beginning, but had to cut back because I FELT I was eating too much. Terry
  21. Looks great, but only 33 calories? Wow!
  22. I know how hard this is. {{{{Hugs}}}}
  23. I'm Bipolar too! Glad to know there are others like me. I'm not ashamed at all because this is an illness just like diabetes or heart disease. But I know not everyone sees it this way. The illness does give us extra challenges that the others don't have. Feel free to e-mail me @ Puppypaws1957@aol.com. Here's to support each other and others with this illness!!!
  24. Yes, Post on this thread. Many people start eating healthy like a switch was turned on in their brain when they had the surgery. Just didn't happen to me that way. I'm losing, but am still having trouble with exercise. Love your attitude! Terry
  25. I think ClarksforWillie is the mean one. How Judgemental! Don't you realize that some people have real problems with food? I can't eat a whopper or a Big Mac. My stomach won't hold that much. But people have this surgery because they have problems with food. Think of how people judged you when you were fat. Now you are judging others! When I had my surgery, a switch didn't just turn on and say "Oh, all I want is healthy foods". It is a process. Be kind and loving to other bandsters. We are all at different paths on our journey. You have NO RIGHT to judge. Very cruel. Oh, and I am on my second one. because the first one FAILED. This is my second time around and I have lost almost 70 lbs. So, yes the band can fail even when we do everything right.
