Its a ppo plan the lady said the letter just needed to come from the surgeon. I was like this is my first visit with him hes not going to send the letter iuntil hes knows about me . Its a weird thing to ask for that first. The ins doesnt require that my pcp send a letter. Thank you.

I got the call today from the surgeons offoce to set up my first consult with dietician, insurance petson and dr. the office lady called back and told me if my ins didnt pay for the first consult o would have to pay for it $217.00 which id no prob. I called bcbs and ask them would they pay she said not until it has b een approved. How can the dr send it in for approval when this will be our first visit. So anything before surgery I will have to pay.

I called and was told that they dont have the site for mobile phones yet this is all I have as far as a computer. I can probaly get on the site at work. I wnt to a seminar today at vanderbilt was told wht to do next meet with surgeon they said insurance person would talk with me and would let me kniw what was covered and guidelines would be.

Has anyone here had surgery at vanderbilt hosp in nashville tn. I will be attending a seminar this friday about this procedure and gastric bypass. Just wondering about which dr you chose and your thoughts about the dr. thanks

I have bcbs of tn ppo plan through kroger comp. Just wondering how good they are. Never had any surgeries of any kind. Can you tell me your exp with them. Did you have to pay any out of pocket beforo or aftet surgery Thank you for any information

I really want to thank you for your help. Im going to a seminar this friday. I dont think I want to do the bypass because of the dumping people talk about. then I read about ban slipage and your food feeling stuck in your throat. It is a major decision. I said I would never consider it and now hear I am. Thank you for listening.

Im new to this all im not sure which surgery I should have im sure the dr will help with that. But my questions are how long can you keep the band in and are you given fills up to so many over a time period. Does your ins pay for any or is it all up to me to pay. I have no problem doing so. Can anyone tell me how much. Thank you for any informaton.
