Welcome Fleur De Lis, Who is doing your surgery? I was sleeved on The 15th by Dr Keith Kim at Celebration Hospital. I feel great today. Been walking and getting my fluids in. Tomorrow I start Pureed for a week then soft foods for two weeks. Hardly no pain after 24 hours. Just a bit sore like bruised feeling and gassy. And I cannot take the gas X it actually made me sick. Ever ablt to sleep on my side with a pillow proppeb under my belly. -

I will be sleeved tomorrow. I'm getting excited now. Trying to finish up everything around the office before I leave for 12 days. I had my protein shake for breakfast and another with yogurt and fiber for lunch then just clears for the rest of the day. I also have to have 6 glasses of plain water between 4 and midnight. There is no way I'm gonna sleep tonight. I'm gonna be too nervous plus I'll be up to pee all night. No other prep needed. Good Luck to everyone who's in the next few days. I don't know when I'll feel up to being on the computer. I'm hoping to be back home Thursday. Thanks everyone for the well wishes and all the information. Tracey

I haven't lost a pound on the liquid pre op diet. I was doing better on the low carb no carb. And my liquid preop is less than 5 carbs and little/no fat. 4 shakes a day with one cup of raw salad. Plus sugar free beverages and sugar free ice pops. oh well, only 2 days from now I will be in surgery. Good luck on your trip today. -
Congratulations to you. I started in February also and am schedules for 9-15-10. It is a long road but when you think about it 7 months is not that bad. I've been this weight for almost 20 years a few months more won't matter much. Good luck to you. Tracey

They require Psychiatric Consult, and I think a letter of medical necessity from your primary also. I included the link to Cigna's policy on Baritric surgery. I do know they require it be done at a "Bariatric Center of Excellence". I am lucky to work next door to the only center of excellence in my area. Hope this helps. My process went really smoothly. The hoops that everyone says you have to jump through really aren't that bad. Plus I would rather know if I have conditions that put me at greater risk of complications ahead of time. Determined1, You will do great. I was moved up also but only by 2 days. My surgeon is leaving for vacation though, and I rathered they moved me up than have a Doc who's mind is on making his flight out of town that evening. Keep us posted and Good Luck, Tracey

Good to hear you are doing so well. I keep telling my Hubby that I'll be fine within a few days after surgery and he just thinks I'm being overly optomistic. I'm starting day 5 of liquid pre-op and it's not too bad. But this is my first day at work on liquids. I had the long weekend to get used to a bit of routine with it. Hope you keep doing well. TTYL.

I lost a whole 2 pounds in 6 months. And, I was approved in 6 days. So I don't think it matters if you loose or not.

I went for my pre-op yesterday and they upped my surgery to 9/15/2010. So I will be sleeved in 12 days. Wow it almost feels real now. I started my liquid diet today. Unjury really isn't that bad so far. Good luck to everyone. Tracey

I love this tea also, we have a box in the cupboard at all times. It is very soothing, and the scent has a nice calming effect on the nerves. Lookinupin2010----- I find it at my local Publix grocery store year round.
