I had my dilation. It went well however i have another one oct 7. The opening was smaller than a pinhole. They removed all sutures and arw guessing i will need up to 4 dilations every 2 to 3 weeks. Thanks for the support. I was soo nervous but now feel back to normal!!

My dr would not do a sleeve revision because your cutting through scar tissue and the staples would be in that scar tissue. With the bypass you have a greater chance of healthy tissue to reattach to. I am a month bypass today and have lost 38 pounds. The bypass has saved my life. I have not experienced dumping yet. I have to constantly remind myself to eat because I am not hungry. I wish i would have done bypass in the first place.

@@Sreeves it was very scary since I was never told how severe the complications could be. I also got an infection which caused hallucinations. All I had was a picture of my beautiful 9 month old at home that I needed to make it through to see. On day 4 the nurse sanitized my room so he could visit me. That was the day my progress turned around. I truly am grateful for this opportunity but it was not easy.

I had my rny revision last monday. I had a very extreme case. 2 months after having my son my band slipped and twisted causing lots of damage and had to be removed that morning. The rny is my new beginning I had gained all 100lbs lost in the 6 months between removal and rny. My preop started 8/15 and I lost 16 lbs prior to surgery. At my 1 week post op I was down 4 lbs on top of the Water weight from 6 days in the hospital. I came out of a 7 hr surgery with a tube down my nose into my bowel to keep my intestines from healing shut. I had to have a catheter and was medically induced sleep for 3 days. Once they removed the tube and catheter I was up and walking on day 4. By the end of day 5 I was walking on my own and progressed to be released on day 6. The nurses could not believe my determination to be released. Even with my complications rny was the right choice. I am 10 days out and am so grateful for this chance to renew my life.

I have my 3rd dilation tomorrow. In talking to my surgeon if this doesn't work they will need to do another surgery. I am feeling discouraged and let down. I am 8 weeks post op and lost 51 pounds but am terrified of a 3rd surgery in less than 9 mos. Hopefully tomorrow works

I just had my revision 12 days ago. I am down 24 pounds since pre op diet started on 8/15. Ive lost 8 pounds post op. It was a rough go after surgery but I had extensive scarring from my band failure. I am 10000% happy with my rny so far. I was nervous and thought to back out but I am so happy to be on my new journey

when i first had 3ccs removed because they were freaking about my losing 5 pounds, my weight went...wonky is the best way i can put it. i ate salads and such like i did throughout my pregnancy and my weight seemed to skyrocket no matter what i did. the good news is that towards the middle of the second trimester it stopped rising so quickly. body moderated itself because i still continued with the salads and Proteins like i did in the beginning. hormones do weird things.
