I've done that eHarmony....I prefer match but they both are good. For me, I live in a very small city, so venturing out this way had made a world of difference!!

  7. What's harder and/or more valuable? To sit with the grieving in their grief? Or to try to fix it?

    1. dancingqueene

      dancingqueene

There is no fixing grief...it's a journey on the griever has go through. Supporting them and being there to soothe, hug, or encourage is the support another can give. Don't take the grief on for yourself, but rather take the experience and be grateful for not feeling their pain.

I have started walking more and much faster, doing squats, and lifting light weights. I have started wearing my work clothes to prepare going back tomorrow. I get tired if I over do, but I am sleeping great and therefore I feel great in the morning (so then I over do lol). My family and friends are so supportive and my daughter is adapting well too!

I couldn't have done it w/out the support from here and the friendships I have made!

I can only imagine...my surgery is coming up in Oct. and I'm grateful I live alone w/ my daughter lol I have been researching bariatric recipes- 'breads' that are low to no carb, and that be made w/ low sugar or sugar free. it's amazing how no grain products can be so healthy- almond flour is an amazing invention lol

But, I do know what you mean...it is going to be hard!!!! But good for you for staying strong!! We can all do this!! :)

I have known several people to have had this surgery and although they lost a little is was far from what you are all experiencing! Good Lord now you have me freaked lol We were told if we eat high protein as suggested and add a supplement that the loss should be minimal!! Eeeekkkk!!!

HI There bormannk- I hope you are doing well!! I just saw my surgeon this week and so far I'm about 90% approved- trying hard to not get too excited though. I'm ok for either procedure so I'm still deciding. I need a scope first to see what level of GERD I already have. Then it's just the last part of the insurance. The office feels I should know my Tues. Praying for a positive outcome! The doctor felt I could realistically get back to my HS weight of 130 since I do workout so much regularly anyway!! Patiently waiting and praying :)

Great news!! I am going through the process ( for the 3rd time to get approved.) right now. I didn't have the right qualifiers last time but it looks like this time I will! Patiently waiting to hear back as I'm feeling desperate at this point. I have GERD so that may make me ineligible for the sleeve but it's definitely my preference if I had to choose! So awesome to hear of your success!! Way to go!!
