  1. Isopue from GNC for first couple days, I also added protein bullets to water. Hydration is so important, but I tried to do both. The shakes were hard for me at first, and both of theses are clear liquids. Good Luck. Remember. Sip, walk, sip, walk.
  2. I am so sorry you are in pain! I remember ...it really sucks but I promise it gets better. It may hurt tomorrow right when you wake in the am, but it gets better every day! Walk..sip...walk...sip....GOOD LUCK!
  3. Hi all, I remember Lindora told me once that pain medication, with or without narcotics can decrease weight loss. Has anybody seen this happen ? I am thinking possibly water retention, and maybe a temporary decrease in metabolism. I am starting to get a migraine and don't want to ruin my weight loss.
  4. ok. I feel foolish. Thanks for the reality check. No more poor me' s. I really am happy about the 20 lbs, I just am on this site so much, I feel like maybe I am doing it wrong. But it is what it is. Thanks......and tell sprout hi
  5. I have tried to increase carbs to under 30, fat 15, and Protein 90 . I am only on mushy for 1 more week. I have heard the same about increasing cals, but just afraid I guess. Thanks , I will try one more shake today and see if that helps.
  6. Your right!!!!! I am losing and learning about my new lifestyle. I guess I was only racing my hopes.
  7. I have now, just today lost 20 lbs total. I did a perfect two week pre- op, three drinks only, I am three weeks post- op, survived the three week stall, and Lost 20 lbs forever. Now,I am hoping the next 60 goes a little faster, but I just want it gone. So, for all you out there that have lost more, be thankful that you are not the official slowest loser. 20 lbs in 5 weeks is better than nothing or gaining.
  8. Thanks everyone ! I am only on mushy stage, so I drank some hot tea. It did not work, but i did fall asleep. I Luv you guys for helping me. I will try more cals today and see if that makes it easier tonight.
  9. Hi all, as you know I am 3 wks and one day out, and this is the first day I am really hungry. I have had 90 g protein, 84 oz fluids, 37 g carbs, and around 600 cals. We took a two hour bike ride today, so maybe that is it. Should I eat..or just go to bed ? I know my dr said it's not a diet, but a new way to eat and live, but I have a lot of weight to lose. I am feeling like I am on any one of the many diets I have tried.. I am moody today, so I tried to pass it off as head hunger, so I tried a bath, more water, reading book....still hunger pain in stomach. I am already on a acid reducer, sooo what do you guys do?
  10. I went home same day. However, the first two days I could not handle anything, even sleeping was hard. My fourth day out I was a lot better and could take care of my three young boys, but not trips to the store or anything. I was off pain meds by then also. The stories here are so varied and related to surgery outcome, technique, etc. My is only one. Good Luck.
  11. You are sooo cute! Your smile is beautiful in both pictures!
  12. If it was laproscopic surgery, then that is probably pain from the insuflation . I had that horrible for about two days, no matter what I took for pain. Walking helps, but mostly I just had to make it through. I also threw up from the anesthesia, even though they gave me all the meds possible to stop it. This lasted around 24 hrs. I always do. I hope yours is easier than this, just know that I know what you are going through . My day four was awesome! It does get better everyday. Sorry your uncomfortable!
  13. It's hard when we are still in morning from losing our comfort friend....food! I sub with baths and music, or take a break and escape in a good novel! Give 90% away but always keep 10 % for you everyday ! if you don't, you might fall.. And then what? Good luck and I will keep you and your family in my prayers.
  14. I am sorry about your dad. I am happy for you and your kids! Great Job MOM!
  15. A lot of my family members are obese, friends, co workers, with severe co morbidities. I was my highest ever at 200 ish, even higher than being pregnant with my boys! I started to have sleep apnea and pains all over. I failed so many times at every diet, and no excuses because my family and especially my husband is so supportive and very active himself. I saw myself falling more and more in a rut of depression, inactivity, etc. I could not even carry my 2 yr old without feeling tired. The kicker was when my oldest son got teased at school because his mom had the biggest but. I know...he told this little punk off better than I could saying ,"yes, she does ....but so what ..she is the best mom ever and everybody likes to play with her, even you, when she comes to our recess". Ok brag moment... However, I did not like putting him in that position, wrong or right. I felt like if I kept up with my habits, my kids would think that it was ok or normal to be obese, and it's not ok for my sons! I want them healthy and happy living long strong lives. I knew I was one more day from being 300 plus lbs like my mom because I was making her same mistakes! She waited until she was over 300 lbs and 58 years old to have gastric bypass, and now it has changed her life! My mom and I both agreed we did not want to wait so long for me! I am 36, and at 37 I want to feel free from the signs and symptoms of this disease. I chose the sleeve because I always did great on phen untill it wore off and I was always hungry again. I was sleeved one month ago today, and it is amazing not being hungry or feeling deprived!
  16. Ok thanks GreenEyedMamma, I will try that today. My carbs are 15-20 grams, never more, but I will increase the water today.
  17. Thanks for the input and encouragement.
  18. Promise? Seems like most lose some weight first.
  19. Ok..my surgery date was Friday May 6, almost three weeks and I am still 180 ish ( up 1 down 1) I am following my dr plan exactly. I am on mushys, getting 64 oz water and walking 45 min a day.........I tried going up a little with fat, ...with cals.....now what? I am afraid I will not lose any weight, or not as much as I want. I expected around 10 lbs a month. Is this reasonable? Uggggg anyone else have a stall right in the beginning? I am really disappointed. It effects my whole day and additude.
  20. Well crap! That could have been me and I would be mad too...or rather beyond as you are. I will pray for some type of resolution for you. You deserve the best!
  21. Hi Michelle, I am 14 days out today. Just a couple a head of you. I have only lost 4 lbs due to the ugly stall, but I also had the day three surprise of an extra period. I feel like I should be fully operational, because I have no pain. However, I am not. I slept all day yesterday and I could not help it. My sweet children kept asking if I was sick...and I am not, just really tired all day. I push it when I have too, but other wise I just rest. I feel guilty because my husband worked so hard all day long to find my sleeping, but it's the best I can do. Everybody tells me it gets better. I am usually not a lazy person, but that is how I feel. So, you are not alone. At least we are lucky enough to get to rest when we need. Lol
  22. Juzumejnee and Brenda, we need an OC group!
  23. I am 12days out and have only lost 2 lbs since surgery and that was after 3 days. Since then , that stupid scale won't budge. I am also listening to everybody here and tring to remember that this is apart of the process to lose the big weight. Not the fun part. But.....we are not hungry, and that awesome bc if we did not have our sleeve, we would be worse! We are all in this together.
