  1. Caiti!!! I loved your post! I am glad you are doig well. Each day from here gets better and better. I think you have a great attitude!!! I also struggled with smell in the begining. Also taste!!! Two of the biggest challenges for me were that I became lactose intolarant and my sense of smell was just so intense. I am happy to say that both gradually went away - the sense of smell more quickly - and now I am just back to the way I was... Oh but 82 pounds lighter and with a smaller capacity for food :-) well more energy too! .. and other good things ... but that's another post LOL Congratulations beautiful lady!!! Enjoy your family and looking forward to reading about your progress!!!!

You're only 3 weeks out and you need to heal. So take it slow. I like Pookeyism's idea of tapes too. For me anthing with music works. Good luck with work!!! and congrats!!!

  15. I'm not a doctor nor have any medical background so I couldn't comment one way or another another about dehydration per se. But I am wondering if you need some blood work. Could it be related to the potassium? I would definitely talk to MD to see what's up. I can't imagine that is is related to dehydration since you take in so much fluid... again, I'm no md. Sending good thoughts your way. Please keep us posted!
  16. Congratulations Pookeyism!!!! What a great NSV and what a great friend!!! Love the pic. You look awesome!!!! and sooooo happy!!! High five!!!
  17. Mari, congratulations on all your progress!!!! I'm also trying to get to 125lbs. I always share on this board that I've been one of those people that have stalled and dropped, stalled and dropped.... even thought I keep consistent with food/exercise/fluid. I think some of us are like that. For me the main thing is that I am losing the weight!!! It's soooo HARD when I am stalled though! But I just tell myself it will pass and I focus on what I need to do. Don't let it discourage you. It looks like you are doing GREAT! Keep up the good work kiddo! Oh, BTW, like you, there are some foods that I just have an aversion to. So I just don't eat them. I eat the ones that feel right. So it could be that the eggs and bacon are just not for you right now. It may change as time goes by.
  18. I purchased a blender called "Magic Bullet" you can order it on-line. It makes all my shakes really nicely, including those to which I add a little fruit or ice -- or both! You can drink it right out of the jar it's mixed in and it has a lid so if you don't finish the entire shake, it's easy to store. Glad the orange juice worked out. Forensikchick had suggested it to me when I just could not get another milk/water shake down. It's made a huge difference. I have tried the coffee too and I use a vanilla flavor for that one.
  19. Wow girl!!! What a difference a month can make!!! You are looking great! It looks like more than a 20 lbs loss! Keep it up!! and congratulations!!!!
  20. I've had gurgling up until recently, when it's finally tapered off a bit. I still get it on occasion, incluing the lovely sounds that accompay it! :-) I'm also finally off the prilosec so I'm not sure if that's contributed to less gurgling. But I do recall the first few months I would even comment: "let the gurgling begin!"
  21. I was advised to wait three months, if memory serves me. I had a very small sip for a toast at 4 1/2 months or so. I had my first "glass" of wine (which was about 2 to 3 oz) at around month 6 or 7. Like you, I'm not really a drinker but on occassion I do enjoy to sip on a glass of wine and it seems to be okay. I just don't drink when I eat. It's usually when dining out and waiting for my meal (after I had at least a glass of water LOL).
  22. njd, yes it's seems it's pretty normal. I had stalls early on. In fact, I've had a stall and lose pattern through out! Only recently I seem to just have a slow steady pattern. But I've read that most people stall within the first three weeks! It might be our bodies adjusting. Hang in there. It will break. Just be sure and focus on nutrition (protein) and fluids and be sure you're moving. It's so frustrating when it happen, but just hang in there kiddo!!!
  23. That beautiful smile in the after shots says it all! You're looking great!!!! Congratulations! Rock that sleeve girl!
  24. WOW! Liliana! You're doing fantastic!!! You look great! You really rocked your sleeve girl! You are almost at goal!!!! Take heart in this wonderful accomplishment and let it lift your spirits!!!! Whatever you are going through, it will pass!!! Be well, and congratulations!!!!!
