  1. I made a chart that has from my highest weight down to my ultimate goal. Every pound I lose, I mark off and it gives me a visual of my accomplishments. I am a teacher and I have been off since May. I haven't had to wear any "nice" clothes all summer. When I went into my closet yesterday to find something nice to wear to a gathering, I did not fit in ANYTHING!! My daughter was crying she was laughing so hard at my reaction to my falling off clothes. Little moments like that in my journey remind me of how much I LOVE the procedure!

  2. Depends on the food... I can eat 1/2 cup to a cup of food per meal. More course foods, I eat less of. I am 7 weeks out. My doctor told me no breads of any kind including crackers... surprised that you are eating crackers.

  3. I am home now. I have 6 small incisions. I am sore all over. Feel like I have been doing aerobics. Immediately following surgery, I was in a lot of pain, but by night time, I was up walking a cutting up with the nurses. All I was allowed to drink was poweraide zero. It was hard to get down the 48 ounces required for them to release me. YOU MUST SIP! If you take a big drink of it, it feels like a painful knot in your gut. I made myself a glass of chicken buillion cube and water when I arrived home. It was easier to drink than the powerade. I am not hungry at all. Surprisingly, I am not sleepy either. I am taking hydrocodone as needed, but only took 1 time today. I got 3 shots of blood thinner in my stomach. I never felt anything when they gave them. This morning, they gave me a B12, Thaimin, & Folic acid shots in my rear. VERY painful! I weighed 263 when I went in. I refuse to get on scale until I go for my follow up appt. in 2 weeks. I hope your surgery goes well for you!

  4. I feel your pain! I had endoscope done last week (which was supposed to be the last thing needed prior to surgery) and the Dr. found that I have esophogus errosion and a tumor in my stomach. I had no clue that I have severe reflux. I have been to a specialist and they will not operate until after they return from their 2 week spring break! So my date has been put off until I have another endoscope to measure and biopsy the tumor. I was supposed to go under the knife next Tuesday! :( I hope your problems can be repaired during your surgery! I do know how you feel!
