I Have a question???

I just had my endoscopy done today and the Dr found i have a moderate hiatus Hernia and mildly severe esophagitis...to which i had no symptoms. I'm afriad that i will not be able to have my sleeve surgery, scheduled for 3/22..Does anyone out there have a similar situation???

Hi Lisa,I had a talk with my surgeon and with the haital harnia it is repaired durring the sleeve surgery so its now nuthing to really worry about, she said that it would be easyer for them to get too, some people dont get symptons too much from it but heart burn from the acid in the stomach,

just relax and when they do your procedure you will have it all done at the same time....my prayers are with you ..I am awaiting my final wt management then my info will be sent in for approval...Yeah....happy weight loss...camille01

I feel your pain! I had endoscope done last week (which was supposed to be the last thing needed prior to surgery) and the Dr. found that I have esophogus errosion and a tumor in my stomach. I had no clue that I have severe reflux. I have been to a specialist and they will not operate until after they return from their 2 week spring break! So my date has been put off until I have another endoscope to measure and biopsy the tumor. I was supposed to go under the knife next Tuesday! :( I hope your problems can be repaired during your surgery! I do know how you feel!
