Nausea HELP
hi ladies, I was wondering if you have had any relief with the nausea? Sad to say I'm starting week 9 and no relief or me. Still struggling through it. Any new info? I battled a kidney stone last week and I'm trying to get back on track. Thanks

Nausea HELP
you guys are not alone. I am also 6 weeks out and have been suffering from the vomiting/nausea since week 2. My surgeon says it is probably scar tissue in the stomach and is at it's toughest around 6 weeks. I am also trying to look at the brighter side. It has been horrible and I have been in bed for weeks. I know I need protein but some days I can hardly eat or drink anything. Hang in there, that's all we can do and hope later we will reflect and say that was just a short time we suffered to get to the goal!

drainage/gagging?!? please help.
hello, I had my surgery almost 5 weeks ago and have been suffering from morning mucus/sticky foam buildup in my throat everyday. It has become a routine similar to morning sickness, that's all I can compare it to. I am wondering if anyone else suffers or suffered from this? It continues through the day where I am forced to spit it out constantly. I have never sufered from allergies and thought I should attempt an alevert dissolvable pill to see if it helps? This is driving me insane. Please any suggestions?

Weakness, Short of Breath, Rapid Heartbeat...
Thanks for all the feedback. I did get sent home with a spirometer and used it the first few days. I was on prilosec for about 3 days and that's when the tightening started. Since I have quit the prilosec the tightening has subsided. I don't know if it was a reaction to the drug or not. I am still short of breath when I get up and move around too much (usually around 5 mins or so). I did think about anxiety. I do think that along with stress plays a huge part in what I am going though. I have never had a major surgery with recovery that did not include a new baby to take care of :sad0: I am nervous that this is the outcome of the rest of my life being weak and unavailable. I know everyone has had a moment or so but you do feel helpless to your family. I am still dealing with this was just for me and everyone will be okay without me for a few weeks. Thanks again for all the feedback, it is greatly appreciated.

Weakness, Short of Breath, Rapid Heartbeat...
Hi, I am 12 days post-op and since day 7 I have had shortness of breath, tightening in my chest, and rapid heart rate. I have been in contact with my doctor and he is only concerned with my calorie intake and hydration. He did order bloodwork and that came back normal. I have improved my liquids to and am now getting at least 50 ozs a day. I push for 60 but am getting there. I am having the hardest time with Protein shakes and liquids. They make me gag and I don't want to start vomiting. I did have low blood pressure when I went in for my last visit. anyone experience this after surgery and any suggestions?? I just want to have enough energy to get through my day and function normally... thanks,

Sleeved on 4/28
hello. I was sleeved on 4/28. Everyday has gotten easier to drink, but not anywhere i'd like to be. I am only getting around 12 ounces a day (so far). I had extreme gas the first day home. For some odd reason I feel the need to spit the built up saliva out of my mouth and that has cut down on the upset stomach. Crazy but it's been working. I do suffer the dry mouth but I tried propel and that has helped. Along with warm decaf tea. The cold just hurts. I can't wait for ice cold drinks. I am being patient. Good to hear the stories from other sleevers from this week. Good luck to everyone.

5 more days
Oh my gosh! you took the words right out of my mouth! I lose and gain the same 5 to 10 pounds. I have been this way for the past 7 years. I am still wearing stuff from when I first had my second daughter and she is 6. Wild how you don't realize how many people deal with the same things and we usually feel like we are the only one in the world dealing with this crap. I am the most excited to be thin (& healthy). I want to enjoy the rest of my thirties and not wake every day beating myself up for the last 10 years of emotional eating. I just keep telling myself I am here NOW making this decision and have only life to gain from it!!! Keep me posted!

Dallas, Houston, San Antonio Docs??
Hi Quarterhorse! Thanks for the info. A co-worker and I are trying to do heavy research on sleeve surgery and I wanted to let you know that (and maybe you already know this) Dr. Veninga has done many other procedures but only about 15 sleeve procedures. Or at least this is what his office told us over the phone. Like you I will be a cash pay as well. I have my consult with Dr. Ganta in Austin on 1/14. Hope this helps and good luck on your research!!
