  1. That will be me! I started at having to lose 149lbs, Now I have 135 to go! I'm waiting on surgery date so I've been doing pretty well with my pre-op diet. Can't get here fast enough!
  2. I feel ya. I am on a 2 week diet for my gallbladder surgery, no fat or carbs! I'm dying here. To make matters worse, dr said I will be on the same diet again when it comes time for my sleeve surgery :001_tongue:
  3. I'm praying that she will support you in this. It is not the easy way out by any means. And I think your right about the little green monster rearing his head. My hubby is naturally thin. We can go on the same diet and he will drop 15 lbs while I gain 2, kwim? I would see red at times. One of my requirements is to attend one support group with my husband. I'm looking forward to it. I love all you guys, but have to live with him, lol. I think maybe when you loose the weight, you will be able to focus less on your health and more on her. She can hopefully apprieciate the new life you both are going to have together :001_tongue:
  4. I pray you are having a blessed day  For this weeks song, I'm worshipping to a song by Bebo Norman, I Will Lift My Eyes. I just found out that my gall bladder has to be removed now. On one hand, I see that all this is a process, and God is with me the whole way. On the other hand, I just wish this would be easy and done with by now. I hope this song blesses you as it has me  God, my God, I cry out Your beloved needs You now. God, be near calm my fear and take my doubt. Your kindness is what pulls me up Your love is all that draws me in [nomedia=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xMoDA5gTlNQ]YouTube - I will lift my eyes - Bebo Norman[/nomedia]
  5. Do we have the same Aunt?!?! lol!!!! My mom is a huge support but I do have a feeling she will feel a little insecure when I get smaller than her. It has happened before but I've come to realize it was both of our insecurities. Her's because she likes feeling healthy and good that she weight less and mine because I have all the "fat" bagage on my back. When I lose weight, it forced her to look in the mirror and she how over weight she is. Change is scary but I know it's for the best. I need to be around for my children for many many years!
  6. So sorry you are going through this. Know we are praying the doctor finds out what is going on and it is fixed pronto!
  7. Actually its the 30th now but Sunday was all about preparing for our 5 yr old's first day of school. I cried like a baby when the bus pulled away taking her with it! Hubby video taped it and is threatening you tube, lol. This week, I thought I would share my "anthem" so to speak. This is the song that reminds me... no matter what trials and tribulations that come my way, I will not be moved. I will stumble, I will fall, I will face heartaches, I will feel alone, I will feel confused, I will feel helpless.... BUT I WILL NOT BE MOVED! I listen to this song when I'm exercising or when I feel like the enemy is attacking me or if I feel like I'm close to blowing it. ! Hope you have a blessed week
  8. Well here's the short version... Endoscope/ gallbladder ultrasound next wed at 11am (please, please pray that my gall bladder is okay and will not have to be removed!!!!!!!! please, please, please) Pap on the 13th Group mtg with hubby on the 21st Need to lose 15 lb pre-op, low fat diet to shrink liver before surgery. Surgery times are being scheduled out end of Sept/ beginning of Oct by the doctor. Here is MAJOR part!!! I need you to pray!!! My insurance is not approving sleeves at this time due to some paperwork not filed correctly by the hospital on a previous patient. So it has been 2-3 wks and the doctor is on hold with this type of surgery, until the hospital fixes their paperwork. No clue when this can be. It could be Monday or 3 months from now?!?!?!
  9. Congratulations!!! I am so excited for you! Have a date yet??? LOL, wishing you all the best!
  10. I can Only Imagine is a favorite of mine too. It really ministered to be when my dad passed away :001_unsure:
  11. My inspiration!!! You look great!
  12. Not good. If the referral brought up your name, then the office manager should have told her, "Sorry, we are not allowed to discuss any other person with you. But here is your information and what you need to do, etc, etc." (that way they are not even acknowledging that you are a pt on their end, I say this all the time) You do have a case here and could do one of two things. 1) Tell the office manager not discuss any of your information with anybody other than you and your husband or whoever else you allow. And let it go this time. 2) You can file accomplaint and it will go under investigation, with office manager being reprimanded and/or fired if this has happened before. HIPPA is VERY serious.
  13. What Information Is Protected Information your doctors, nurses, and other health care providers put in your medical record Conversations your doctor has about your care or treatment with nurses and others Information about you in your health insurer’s computer system Billing information about you at your clinic Most other health information about you held by those who must follow these laws She was not allowed to talk about YOUR billing information however if you both have the SAME insurance, you have to make sure what she disclosed was not of YOUR personal information (esp YOUR name in the conversation referring to you) but just of general insurance information. A provider or plan may also share relevant information with these persons if, using its professional judgment, it believes that you do not object. For example, if you send your friend to pick up your prescription for you, the pharmacist can assume that you do not object to their being given the medication. A referral by you to a health agency esp if you are present
  14. Great post Maddie, thanks!!!
  15. Ever had a God song? You know, a song that God uses that speaks to you, your life, your circumstances. The lyrics of the song seem to b written for you and only you. Your spirit man leaps when you hear this song and you feel so close to the Father. It can be God ministering to you, like your anthem song to get you through what you are going to through. Or it can be you worshiping the one and only true God. My heart jumps at praise and worship. Through song, I feel like I can be real. The wall come down and there is not pretense. I thought I would share my God song with you for this week. It is Revelation Song, sung by Kari Jobe. I hope it ministers to you too! Blessings  http://www.tangle.com/view_video?viewkey=c455e06ebd06647fc4de&

This has been a rough week for me. I am working overtime due to vacations. So I'm not getting home until late, hubby has been making dinner everyday, doing all the laundry ( which he does any way but I put it away), sweeping the floor, washing the kids. I feel guilty because he is Mr Mom at home plus running the store 40 hrs :huh0: I'm guilty because I'm so tired, I didn't go to bible study so now hubby took the kiddos there. What am I doing??? Typing this! Pitiful, I know. To top it off, we got our oldest's school schedule today. She is starting kindergarten this year. Come to find out that her orientation day is the same day of my pre-op appointment. So I called the doctor. If I don't go on the 27th, I will have to wait another month, for another appointment. So now I fill guilty because hubby doesn't want me to miss my appointment. He is going to work half a day and then take her. So now the guilt is just killing me because mommy is blowing it once again I feel like I'm letting my family down because I'm too tired to do anything with them. Now I'm letting them down by thinking about me and what I want. I want WLS but I feel like I'm putting everyone out. I guess I just needed to vent a little.
  19. CONGRATULATIONS Jane!!!! I love hearing the success stories. It gives me hope, one day it will be me :scared0: I wish you all the best!
  20. Still in the morbid category here, but looking towards the plain obese, lol
  21. I met for 5 min with the psychologist and then answered at 560 question personality test. That's it. Suppose to take 2-3 hrs, I was out in 55 min
  22. I looked into WLS in my 20s before marriage and kids and such. But at the time RYN was my only option and I just wasn't ready for that change. I went through all the pre-op hoops, all I had to do was sign the surgery consent. But when the time came to sign, something stopped me. 5 yrs later I met hubby, he loved me plus size. After the kids and 5 yrs of marriage. The time is right. Even though he loves me plus size, he want me to be here for him and our children. It's time for me to start living for them. We tease that we just need to make it to our golden 50th but at my weight, I don't think I would. 10 yrs later, three kids later, the VGS is available to me and I'm grabbing it with both hands!!!
  23. You are correct!!! Hugs and prayers for you, dear heart. Take care!
  24. Wow, it seems like you were in a whirlwind!!! Glad your doing good!
