  1. Cheri, time to channel Marilyn Monroe! You and your hourglass figure might just pull that off babe! Nows the time to own it!
  2. I use that chemical laden Cool Whip Free or LIte product. It really makes my home made SF pudding taste like something a little bit extra special. (real cream would be even better... but off my list too!)
  3. Fast today, so far so good. I just planed out what I'm going to cook/eat tonight, and it made me feel even better.... secure in a way. Like I have something good to look forward to. This really adds quality to my fast day (sad that food is so important to me! but glad that I can really meet that need on fast days with so few calories)
  4. So glad for you Cathy! I'm fasting today. So happy I am, I gained almost two pounds this weekend, has to be stress, I did some crap eating as well, but never over calories, so hopefully I can get back on track this week. Went on a lovely 2 1/2 hour bird watching hike yesterday... working on the stress!
  5. Just a heads up... We will not be able to eat like a pig (even a cute pot bellied one!) when at goal. There will be a new normal then... and I think it will look pretty much like my habits are now... maybe just a little bit more flexibility... but not that much.... I have had to let go of the idea that when Im at goal, I will be able to do as I like in the eating department....
  6. Protein and veg heavy. I do a low carb protein drink in an iced decaf, spread out over breakfast and lunch, eat some veg and protein dish for dinner.
  7. 5:2 is not a quick fix for most, and you are so close to goal, it may take a while. Keep in mind that the long term health benefits of 5:2 are the main thing.
  8. What the HeII!? Doesn't sound like a compliment to me! Someone jealous or something? That just plane rude. They wish they were a size 4, and couldn't just give you a real compliment.
  9. This forum (the people in it!) can be such a big help.
  10. Join the club girlfriend! No need to feel sad, its just the way it is.
  11. First, you look great girl. I also have a BMI goal (the very top, which is 169 for my height, '5"9") I am currently 175.6. Getting close. I would not eat in a way to lose that you can't sustain over the long run. Do MFP, maybe a fitbit to track exercise. The 5:2 helped me get almost 16 pounds off. Its a plan I can live with forever. I eat 12-1600 cals of normal food on feast days, 550 on fast days, I do track, and will always have to do that. Exercise 4+ days a week... to control my shape more than my weight.
  12. ^^^^^^^ What she said! I did the same thing as you, lost to within 5 pounds of goal, then gained 22 pounds! I am now one pound from my lowest weight from WLS... and only 6 pounds from goal. You can do it too! I tried several things before I found a plan that worked... logging everything in MFP, even if its a crap choice, cook most meals my self... started using a fitbit and applied the 5:2 plan has worked for me very well. (with about 12-1400 cals on feast days) You just need to jump in and get something going, if it doesn't work, analyze your options and jump in again until you get it. This is a lifelong project, think in the long run, goal, then maintenance forever.
  13. Georgia, (and everyone else,) here is a lovely darling story from a lady that gets to goal on the 5:2. http://www.52fastdiet.co.uk/post15886.html#p15886
  14. Georgia!!!! Fantastic girl! Whats your plan now? stay on 5:2 and ad a few cals the feast days, go to 6:1? What do you think?
  15. Phat, Congratulations! Great loss. You are already a huge success.
  16. Sukie is my little doggie. She loves veggies too!
  17. Thanks Laura. I came home from work early today and took a nap!
  18. I posted in the 5:2 forum yesterday.... http://www.52fastdiet.co.uk/introduce-yourself-f1/new-to-posting-13-weeks-on-the-5-2-with-great-success-t8105.html
  19. Globe, keep in mind 5:2 was designed as a longevity plan, and weight loss came second. Its still working even when you don't lose weight. If you like it, do it! AT least the 5:2 part.....
  20. supposed to fast today but didn't. Up with dad in the ER last night, got 2 hours sleep and missed dinner so only 900 cals anyway... close enough. I need my stress eating today! Keeping it regular, but 1400 cals are filling the bill instead of 500... Oh the joys of old age, I really feel for my parents. Going to spend saturday and maybe sunday with them. (gearing up....) Love'em, and yet... dad is such an over thinker and control guy... he is full on 100% the whole time. RELAX dad!
  21. My Bariatric center has a group every month, I might go this next week... I haven't gone for years, and then only once... I was the only sleeve there... perhaps there will be more this time.
  22. There is a point where your stomach relaxes. You can eat more at this point. Doesn't seem like it would be overnight though. When you put a cup of lettuce in a blender, it turns into what.... a forth of a cup? Also, if I eat very slowly, I can eat more.... I can eat almost twice as much eating over 45 miniutes or so. soup, liquids, crackers, lots of things I can eat more of. Do try the protein first thing, you can check your restriction pretty quick on this one.
