Welcome! I had an upper endoscopy as part of my preop testing and the drugs they gave me kind of made the experience sort of pleasant! I slightly remember them putting in and taking out the camera/breathing tube... but it was sort of dreamy and not bad at all. Just had a little sore throat afterwards.

You guys are killing me! I have to agree. I think I will probably blab to everyone. Im also sure I will have to come up with some coping mechanism for the idiots too. I know there are so many people who have been helped by this surgery, who are hiding out there... and I totally support them in their decision to hide out. Its not anyones business. However, I see so many people who are suffering from the fat...and the predigous and don't really know the truth about WLS...I guess Ill do what I do...hopefully I won't regret speeking up to much!

I have been using stevia packets from Trader Joes and it seems a lot less bitter than I remember in the past. I like it. Mild and clean.

Sounds like I have the same thing 4 days in. its heading to my chest...and still get a great snotty blow now and then, yuck! I have tryed to sleep on and off all 4 days, hoping it would cut short the nasty thing...hate to blow my whole weekend..so much to do! I tryed some "natural" imune syrup-... then went in for some of the hard stuff.. Robatussin cherry cough syrup....extra vitaminC too. Ricola cough drops. piles of snot rags....blah! I had to get a excuse letter from my Dr for missing work...she thanked me for not spreading it far and wide. Get better soon.

Ive kind of hinted to some at work, and told others... told my mom and dad who supported the idea...they told my brother...who seems to aprove and is overweight...may even like the idea of doing it himself sometime. I told two out of three friends...funny, the last friend is a Dr. who is over weight... I kind of think she might argue a bit with me... but maybe not too... She might even go for it herself when she sees how it goes for me. Im sure I will tell her soon. I am in the public eye a little bit, so taking my time to see how it goes....I tend to think I will tell whoever asks, but we shall see. I have not had surgery yet...three months.

You have to make up your own mind, but I have to say I think that people here are giving some very sound advice. Patients is a virtue.

I am not a singer, but I am a bellydancer. We use a lot of abdominal isolations... I have not gottent the surgery yet, but wonder if all the little lap cuts will affect my dance movements after the fact... hope it works out for you! That is kind of scarey.....

I filled out a 160 question form, on one visit, then the next visit I had a long talk with questions about family, support, goals and then got the results of my questionair. It was just fine.

Hurray! I just got a date for a sleeve. January 18th. Im not sure if this means that insurance has approved it or not... I guess they must be confident....

The colors look like the color of a bruise! yuck! Oh well, hopefully alex is working the bugs out. He must have his hands full. there have been so many complaints. I like this site so much too, and really come to it to keep my mind streight and on track. I hope it gets better too. Lets hang in there folks! I think beign involved in an active group like this does help us keep our eye on the prize and make it to goal and beyond.
