  1. I'm soooo frustrated....I've having a stall, week four AND week 5...nothing lost. People say to up the Water, others say to up the cals...I'm so confused. In order to up my cals, i had to up my fats from 5-10g to 10-20g in order to get my 600 cals in per day. And i'm only "just" making the 600cals. I feel like I'm eating all the time...and I'm bloated, and upset. Protien is at 80-90 and carbs at 20-30...7 glasses of water each day... Stop the ride...i wanna get off!!

  2. Crying!!!

I'ts been week 4 AND week 5, with no weight loss!!! None, nadda, zip...nothing. I've not been cheating. Week 4 was expected. I had not been able to eat enough calories, so I upped my fats to between 10-20g (they were between 5-10g) which allowed me to up my calories. Each day this past week I managed to "just" make my 600 calories. I thought this was what I needed to do to "jump start" my body...carbs are at between 20-30g and protien is between 80-90g. I've been making all my goals this week...all of them! What the heck is going on? I'm feel bloated....and am getting about 7 glasses of Water in a day....no less, no more. HELP please!!!

  3. Iamsunshine, I'm right with you on your position. These are exactly the reasons why I decided on VSG. My kids, and the opportunity to play together, as a family. In only 4 weeks out and I've increased my activities with my family to triple what they were before, and I must say I'm having a ball.....

  4. All, I am about 4 weeks out, and have NEVER hit my calorie requirements.

Basically, I am trying to work within these figures:

    600-800 Calories

    5-10g fat

    20-30g carbs

    80-90g protiens

I'm consistantly hitting the fat (although usually under 5g) and hitting the mid range for carbs, or lower, and always getting my protiens.

I understand that at this stage, I need to up my calories, right? I've slowed down on my weight loss, and am thinking that the low calories is the reason.

I'm having a hard time finding foods that will keep me within my other guidelines, but up my calorie numbers.

What are others eating at this stage? Should I perhaps be looking at increasing my range of foods?

    Help!

  5. Cheri, I know what you mean....I feel like I'm always putting something in my mouth!

I am using a product called ISOPUR, it's a liquid protien, and tastes "ok"...no mixing or anything. It is 40g of protien in a bottle, and i can drink a bottle in about 45minutes or so...so i get liquids and protien at the same time.

I am making my protien tallys every day..although its hard work.

I have also stopped weighing myself, except for Saturdays (tomorrow, I'm so excited). I found that i was obsessing with the scale, and decided i would only weigh on saturdays....

    We'll see what tomorrow brings.....

P.S. Just walking for abut 30 minutes a day or so...nothing more at this point. Will start the gym early september.

Best of luck to everyone..and hope you're all enjoying the summer.

  6. I am the same! I'm almost 3 weeks since surgery, and have no real issues drinking thin liquids rather quickly. It is impossible for me to drink them as slowly as my Dr suggested, so rather than sip, sip, sip...I take a drink, drink, drink. Sometimes when I do drink too fast, I feel the tightness in my chest, which means stop or slow down. I've not tried gulping....the though of that is just too scary to me.
