  1. Im a little over a month post op and yesterday was the first time I was able to drink water. I dare not go for the stuff you have been taking but I have been on a liquid diet every since surgery. You MUST drink something. Broth, Icy, apple juice, something. We dont want to see you back in the hospital. (I know I stayed there for nearly a month after surgery)
  2. TPN is Total Parental Nutrition. I needed this because I have not been eating anything since I got my sleeve done. I lost 18 lbs in 4 days. I was in the hospital for a month after surgery. Im better now and at home trying to eat a little here and there. Thanks Tiffykins. Hearing that you seem to have been on the same schedule I am makes me feel better. I always am comparing myself to my fre\iends who had their sleeves done around the same time as me and they have progressed thru the food stages without any problems. Thanks again
  3. The TPN doesnt allow me to "want" to eat. How can I get off if im still not eating. The doctor agreed to change me from 12 hours to 6 so hopefully this works. i hope to be off completley in a week or so. Im ready to get back to my life. Anyone out there on TPN? Any food suggestions (I was sleeved a month ago)
  4. I had my surgery on Septemebr 27,2011. Ive oniy been out of the hospital for a week now (way over the 2 expected days I planned for). Unfortunatley the doctor has me on TPN at home for 12 hours a day. This is depressing and I feel like I have no life. I have to stay at my sisters because my house has too many stairs. I miss my kids (they were not allowed in the hospital because they are under 12 yrs), I miss my husband, i miss my job (AMAZING) and I just really miss my life. I dont go outside, ive become a recluse. I am struggling with food and liquids. what can I do to get myself back on the healthy track? Any food suggestions? Anyone out there on TPN also?
  5. My sister can not have the surgery because her insurance does not pay for it but she would like to go on the liquid diet with me. How long can someone go on the diet without becoming sick? What kind of things do you eat on the liquid diet? Has anyone every done this diet, besides just before having surgery? Does anyone have a substitute solution for a protein shake? I hate the gritty taste.

  10. Good luck with dr. roslin. Let me know what you think of him when you meet. Interested in what first impression you get of him.
  11. Arrogant he is. I was just worried that he didnt care enough because during our visits (which last all of 2 minutes)he seems to be preoccupied...answering his cell phone or reading text or emails on his cell phone. I just want him to care a little about me....this worries me
  12. Thanks for the aetna information. Where are you having surgery?
  13. Thats great. Congrats! Did you have a hard time with aetna. I have them and just wondering do you have to be exactly 90 days before submitting to aetna. Also how long did your approval take from them...just trying to prepare myself.
  14. I did that. It helped Thanks a bunch!
  15. How do I get to see your pics
