    Drinking liquids

I can understand your worry about leaks cause I had the same. Here in England they do the leakage test when your still anaestetized(or at least my surgeon does), he said if there were to be a leakage(very rare) I would know straight away because I would be really unwell, in terrible pain! Hope this helps x

    July Surgeries

Hi everyone, I had my surgery on the 29th july, so it's been 3 weeks and 2 days and I lost about 22 pounds since the surgery. I live in England and got it done here, had to pay for it though, if I wanted to get it done on national insurance I would have to wait for aboout a year! I'm still mostly on protein shakes as well as soft cereal with milk in the morning and soup for lunch/dinner. Should be on a mushy diet, but blended chicken with vegetables isn't very nice. Feel a bit lonely as you all liove in the States, came across a few people who live in England, here it is quite new. I can't wait to see where I am at Christmas, I'm hoping to get rid of about 30 lbs by then. Good luck to you all!

    `3 weeks food

It's been 3 weeks and 2 days since my operation and I'm supposed to be on mushy food. I can manage some very soft cereal and milk in the morning and for lunch usually a fruit smootie w added protein powder stuff or some kind of soup.. In the afternoon I usually have a milky iced coffee and at night I can manage 2 or 3 tablespoons of mushed up chicken w some vegetables. Today I was starving at lunch time, and my family are having a barbeque, so I mushed up a bit of potatoes, cauliflower and chicken, but only managed 1 or 2 teaspoons of it, wasn't very nice:mad:. I think I will just continue with the shakes, even though my nutritionist would rather I had proper food, just mushed up, to get all the nutrients. I'm taking vitamins since the pre-op diet anyway, so I'm not that worried. I lost about 22 pounds since the operation plus 4 pounds with the preop diet, so I'm happy with that:thumbup1: Anybody else around who had the operation recently and what experience with are you having??

    UK Sleevers

Hi I've had my gastric sleeve 1 week ago in Newcastle, I don't really know where to write yet, just wanted to know if anyone out there had their sleeve done in newcastle(washington-Mr Small) I'm doing really well, no pain, no hunger pangs, can't believe it! I lost about 4 pounds in a week, which I'm happy with. The only thing nobody warned me of the constipation! I think I'm not drinking enough fluids, anybody went through the same??
