    Secret? Yes or No.

Kathy, Just noticed your surgery date...how are you feeling? Now, back on topic....If/when I am able to have the surgery, I think I will keep it to myself and DH until after the procedure is done. My mom is a real high strung worry wart, and I think she would go nuts. My dad wouldn't want me to do it. I think my sister would be supportive, maybe. I think that you have to have a rock solid support system, and sadly, I don't think they would be.

Dr. Phil tomorrow with Sharon Osborne

Sharon is a huge binge eater....even back on the Osbournes there were a couple of episodes where Sharon was running to the bathroom to PB or purge. Ozzy said once that he wished she would just take the f***ing thing out. She has also said, years ago, that her whole family has addictive personalities and that her vice was definately food. Isn't frequent PBing linked with slippage? I feel for her, I really do. I too am a binge eater and that is why I am looking into having a band placed. I have to have something to hold me accountable for my actions so that I will learn....Evindently Sharon hasn't learned...I'll just hope that if I am banded I will be a fast learner!!!!!!
  5. Just got off the phone with UHC....the guy on the end of the phone sounded like he had no clue. He said that it was not covered. I gave him the CPT code, he said it was not covered. So many of you have UHC...I was really suprised. He said to call my HR manager...but it is my DH job, and I don't want to talk to anyone up there if I can avoid it. Any suggestions? Should I just keep calling, or is NO a NO?:lost1.5lbs:
  6. A good friend of mine is 2 yrs post RNY, and her insurance (of course) would not pay for a TT. She went to a dermatologist who instructed her to rub in Dawn dish detergent under her belly flap and leave it there. Within 24 hours she had the worst rash she had ever seen. She went back to the Dermo, who photographed it, and refered her for a pannulectomy(?) due to chronic skin breakdown...and her insurance covered it! Don't know if that always works, but it is worth a shot!
  7. Hi all, I am just taking my first baby steps towards my new life :clap2: and I am looking for your recommendations for a doc in ATL. I am familiar somewhat with the big Emory group (C. Daniel Smith) but they do mostly RNY, and I want someone who specializes in LB. TIA Deanna
