Docs in Atlanta Area???

Hi all,

I am just taking my first baby steps towards my new life :clap2: and I am looking for your recommendations for a doc in ATL. I am familiar somewhat with the big Emory group (C. Daniel Smith) but they do mostly RNY, and I want someone who specializes in LB.

TIA

Deanna

I am using Dr. William Johnson in Dr. Christopher Hart's office with Atlanta Bariatrics/ Johns Creek Surgery. They are a bariatric surgery center of excellence and operate both at Northside and soon at the new Emory Johns Creek. Dr. Johnson did his bariatric fellowship at Duke University.... I think you have to have a big brain to go there, and he seems very thorough, smart, and professional. I am only in the pre-op stage. Call their office for an initial consultation, and they'll get you on the road. 770-232-9252

Hi

I am in Gainesville, Georgia. I found a doctor here but I guess he may be too far for you all.

I am glad to have found people from Georgia. I have not had the procedure done. I am attending a seminar this coming saturday to start the process.

I live in Stockbridge and found Dr. Macik with the Atlanta Bariactric Center. This surgery center is a Center of Excellance for Bariactric Surgery. Good luck!
