I got mine 2 yrs ago when my daughters were 8,6 and 4 yrs old and they still don't know. My reason is because I don't want them to tell their dad (we are divorced).

I got banded in 2007 and the band did not work for me even getting filled I was still gaining weight. I started taking a diet pill in January '09 and I have lost 40 lbs. These pills cut hunger and craving.

Barbara, You are in my prayers. Well ladies, I am losing very slowly and as of this morning I am at 198 and that is a total of 20 lbs lost since surgery day. My mother just keep mentioning all the people that she is hearing of that had the gastric bypass and have lost a lot of weight already and that's got me fuming, she also emails me diet pill adds and diets that she hears of. I am 32 and I dieted since I was 12. I tried to explain to her how lap band works and how my body works but it is like talking to a wall, they (my dad also) don't listen, I guess they thought I would have this done and a month later I would be down to 100 lbs and because ths has not happened they are frustrated. I am too and so it is a touchy subject for me since I am frustrated already about it. Sorry about the rant but I am really frustrated.

I have my husband hide it all. He loves junk food and I told him he can buy it but he has to hide it and when he eats it I go for a walk or somewhere where I cannot see him. I have gotten to the point where I can see him and the girls eating it and it does not bother me because if I eat any junk food I get sick, I get headache and dizzy and feel lethargic and cannot think straight and no cookie is worth that. My husband does not like me on top, I will ask him and he will let me but then he looses his erection so we only do on my back and doggie style. How much are you all paying for your fills? My doctor charges 250.00$ I know there is a place in Roswell that charges 155.00 after the initial fee of 299.00.

Hello I was banded on June 26 and lost 15 lbs between the pre op and after surgery and I am fluctuating between 203 and 206, after my last fill I went down to 200 from 205 and gained it back. I have had 4 fills. I have a 10cc band and : fill 1 3ccs fill 2 3ccs fill 3 1cc fill 4 1cc last month I have one more free fill and then I won't be getting anymore fills since I was quoted a monthly payment of 367$ per month and when I got my bill it was and has been for 590$ which cuts into my fill budget. I am so depressed I have not lost any weight these past 3 months. I am eating small portions I could exercise more but I should have lost at least 10 lbs by now. Also my doctor in his info packet that they would take care of gallstones or anything else while in there and they repaired a hernia and then charged me 1,297.00$, they send it to my insurance and still I have to pay 497$ so I won't be able to get a fill until I am done paying for my loan. I would like to know how you are doing too. I had my surgery the day after you and right after surgery I lost 15 lbs and I am like at maintainance I went from 214 to 200 and I have gone up to 205 and back down to 203 and up to 205 again. I had 4 fills, I have a 10cc band and I am filled 8cc and I am just not loosing. I thought by now I would have lost at least 20lbs. I hope you are doing better than me.
