  3. Hey, I was reading through the forums and noticed Dr. Webb was your surgeon. Would you recommend him? And working with Novus Center?

  7. On the scale this morning, there is now a 1 where a 2 once stood! Under 200 pounds YEAH:-) 40 more to go!!!

  8. I just went on my first vacation post-op and I survived! I even LOST 4 pounds:thumbup: It was so nice to just relax and enjoy my family. We had a great time and I only had one instance where my sleeve gave me a lil trouble (it was getting some lobster to go down) It was so nice to spend a whole day and not worry about food. I wasn't hungry and food was not constantly on my mind. It was FANTASTIC! I can honestly say that this was the best choice for me and I don't regret it one bit. We have 1 more trip coming up before the kids go back to school and i'm looking forward to it now that I know i'll be just fine sleeve and all:cool0:! Yeah for VSG!!!!

    Whats up with...

I have the same thing...I bruise alot more than I did before. Not sure why it is but i've noticed it too. I got hit with the ball a few times playing softball and normally wouldn't bruise with it, but since surgery I got bruises all the time. I'll take the bruise though, and lose the weight:biggrin0:!
  10. I am the same way 6 small meals a day which I don't usually get all of that in. I'm on more solid food now like chicken so I stay full longer. I would say i'm doing 4 meals with no snacks or anything. Everyone is different so it really depends on your body. I have seemed to lose that "hungry" feeling the last week, not sure if my sleeve is adjusting to normal but it seems i'm just not hungry lately. I think as long as your seeing results your doing fine!

    My First 5K!!!

Great Job! Congrats..you look great. You GO GIRL:thumbup:
  12. Today has been a great day for 2 reasons, I went swimming:-) and actually ate some steak! We went swimming for about an hour and I did about 15 laps it felt so good to do some exercise other than walking. We had dinner at my parents as we do every Sunday, I asked my mom what she was fixing and was told steak, potato and salad. I thought I was going to be stuck just eating baked potato but she said she got filet's and they were really tender so I figured i'd try it. I took small bites and chewed very well and it was great! It went down and settled perfectly, it was so nice to get eat some meat other than chicken and lunch meat:-) Looks like i'm getting back to my normal diet and I also broke through my stall I was having this past week..2 more pounds GONE! Everyday gets easier and i'm loving this choice even more!
  13. Welcome and congrats on the wedding:001_wub:! Your gonna love the sleeve, it will change your life:biggrin0:!
  14. Just wondering how many carbs you guys try to have day. I know my cals are suppose to be around 800 which is fine by me I don't even get that many I don't think but I haven't seen anything telling how may carbs. I don't want to have too many but then not get enough to keep a good balance. If you guys could just let me know how many carbs your getting in a day and what's a good number to try and stick with..thanks guys:biggrin0:

    3 Weeks & At A Stall...Need Help

Thank you everyone for all the advice. I weighed this morning and vowed not to weigh again for a week. I am putting the scale away and only going to get on once a week from now on, I was driving myself crazy otherwise. I am starting my walking and now that my cuts are healed I can start swimming:lol0: which I LOVE to do so i'm very excited. It was nice to hear that everyone else had gone through the same things and I know that as long as i'm getting my protein in and staying at 800 cals, limiting carbs it's going to come off, just might take my body adjusting to it. Everyone's advice was so helpful thanks guys:001_wub:
