  1. Hello, I am just recently looking into the lap band surgery. I am 25 years old, 5'5" and 210lbs. I have a bmi of 34. I called the surgeon today in my area and I have scheduled a seminar. The only thing I am concerned about is wether or not the doctor will do the lap band surgery on someone with a blood clots. I found out I had deep vein thrombosis in dec. 2009 and my blood clots have not resolved. I am on coumadin. Can anyone help me out? Thank you, Nicole
