  1. Gosh I dont even remember, but I think at 8weeks you should be able and have no problems with it.
  2. I would do it again in a heartbeat! I had no complications whatsoever and Im very happy with the decision I made.

  5. You can try to find others on here or other WLS forums in your area and see if they can reccomend a PCP. Wishing you the best of luck!
  6. I agree with hellonurse, my first PCP wouldnt give me a referral for surgery so I had to find a new one.
  7. Sounds great, Im going to bookmark this for later, thanks!
  8. Im not sure how far out you are, but you should be feeling something especially if you are eating dense Protein. Maybe you are still swollen? I get the light headedness and blackness every now and then, the times I have had that happen I was low on fluids or calories, maybe thats why?
  9. I so know how you feel! I have a family members that I feel is "competing" with me. One being my cousin, she was always the skinny petite girl with big boobs, now since she had her first child she hasn't been able to lose the weight she gained with her pregnancy. One thing she did a few weeks ago that really ticked me off was a status update she made on FB, it may not have been targeted at me (She knows I have had surgery) she went on to say "You know whats funny when people lose weight and they don't wanna tell their secret how selfish! I hope you get fat again!! ha ha". Even if it wasn't directed towards me, it still pissed me off that someone wished for someone to get fat because your jealous of them. I didn't even reply, I have offered her advice in the past about low carbing, I told her I think she would do really great since she has never done 100's of diets in the past and hasn't ruined her metabolism, she would just tell me "I cant do that" Then last week my sister, her and I were supposed to go to this Water park, my friend wanted to go and asked her, I guess she never answered her back and when she brought it up to my sister she said "F*** that skinny b****, she just had her baby a few weeks ago and is already losing the baby weight, pffft yeah like I wanna be around her!" I could not believe my ears when my sister told me. That made me feel like, "so is that why you like hanging out with me? Because I was always the fat one and you didn't feel threatened?" Its just so sad how jealous people can be, especially females.
  10. I had H Pylori too, when I found out I was so freaked out, but after I looked on different WLS forums I found out it is very common. Good luck to everyone with the up coming surgery dates!
  11. Make sure you research, different surgery options (what may be good for one person may not be for the other) doctors, hospitals. Talk to others who have had it done, ask questions, make a pros and cons list for surgery, thats one thing that really helped me make up my mind! Wishing you the best of luck! Also Melissa congrats on your surgery date and good luck Im going to add you both if you dont mind.
  12. A few I just looked at say they have 23g
  13. I did not have to have a drain so I have no advice on that. Im so sorry to hear you are in so much pain, I hope it gets better!
  14. I love the premier chocolate shakes, so good! I buy mine at Meijer, for me they can get kinda expensive, they sell them in a 4 pack, maybe it would be cheaper if you buy them in bulk at costco or Sams Clu b. I've been looking for Protein that is powered that taste good, I ordered a sample pack of nectar at BJ's Baratric, you get to choose what flavors you like and you get 11, Im hoping I like one of those so I can just buy a huge tub of protein from now on lol.

  17. I would like to hear how it works for you, keep us update!
  18. Theres a lot of info on it, even videos people have made, heres some info I found, I'll just copy and paste. It is WELL known that the Skin is the LARGEST Organ in the Body, and is responsible for one-fourth of the Body's Detoxification each day, also making it, one of the most IMPORTANT Elimination Organs! The Skin is also known as the "3rd" Kidneys and the Lungs are known as the "2nd" Kidneys. TOXICITY can gather beneath the Skin's Surface from such COMMON Influences such as IMPROPER pH levels in Body, Soaps, Skin Creams and Anti-Perspirants, plus Synthetic Fibers worn NEXT to the Skin with ANY of them contributing to a variety of Skin Problems and Conditions. When you do Skin Brushing, you HELP your Lymph System to CLEAN itself of the TOXINS, that COLLECT in the Lymph Glands. You use a Simple Technique to IMPROVE the Surface Circulation on the Skin and KEEP the Pores of the Skin OPEN, encouraging your Body's Discharge of Metabolic Wastes, and resulting in an IMPROVED ability to COMBAT Bacteria, plus HELPING your Skin to look and feel HEALTHIER and MORE RESILIENT! Skin Brushing is a PERFECT Treatment for SELF-HELP Enthusiasts. Benefits: TIGHTENS Skin. HELPS Digestion. REMOVES Cellulite. STIMULATES Circulation. INCREASES Cell Renewal. CLEANS Lymphatic System. REMOVES Dead Skin Layers. STRENGTHENS Immune System. IMPROVES Exchange between Cells. STIMULATES the Glands, thus helping ALL of the Body Systems to perform at PEAK EFFICIENCY! How To Do: Buy a NATURAL, NOT Synthetic, Bristle Brush, since it does NOT SCRATCH the Surface of the Skin. Buy a Brush with a LONG Handle, so that you're ABLE to get to the Areas of your Body, that are NOT EASY to reach, when doing your own Skin Brushing. Skin Brush, before Showering or Bathing, at least ONCE per day, and TWICE, if possible. Do NOT wet Skin, since it will NOT have the SAME Effect, because this stretches the Skin. ALWAYS Skin Brush towards the Heart. Do Circular Counter-Clockwise Strokes on the Abdomen. Do LIGHTER Strokes over and around Breasts, but do NOT Brush the Nipples. Brush each part of the Body several times VIGOROUSLY, COMPLETELY Brushing the WHOLE Body. Brush the Soles of the Feet FIRST, because the Nerve Endings there affect the WHOLE Body, next Brush the Ankles, Calves, and Thighs, then Brush across your Stomach and Buttocks and lastly Brush your Hands to the Arms. Take a WARM Bath or Shower, which should always be followed by a COOL Rinse at the end to INVIGORATE Blood Circulation and STIMULATE Surface Warmth. Wash your Brush every few Weeks in Water and let it DRY.
  19. I read about skin brushing a long time ago (about 7 years ago on a Low Carb forum) and from what I read it helps (of course its not going to be a miracle) I did it a few times, but never stuck with it to see any results. Thanks for mentioning it, I totally forgot and think I would like to try it again and see if I can get any results.
  20. Woohooo congrats!!
  21. I LOVE the premier chocolate shakes, they remind me of chocolate milk! They dont have a nasty after taste or smell.
  22. How about eggs and fish? You can get crystal light, SF syrups, SF pudding, and add those to protein shakes and greek yogurt for some different flavors.

Thanks, I know I have, I would have never dreamed of losing 100 pounds before and I am proud of myself. It gets to me sometimes when I see people that have had surgery around the time that I did, or started out weighing less then me losing weight so much faster then me! I always told myself pre-op I would not compare myself to others, but days I get down on myself I do. I was very good on my water intake yesturday and weighed today and was down a pound, not sure if that has something to do with it or not, there are days I am really bad with my fluid intake. Thanks for the nice comments everyone, no one I know in RL has surgery and sometimes they dont understand what we go threw so I am very happy to have this site and the support, it means so much to me
  24. Lol Wheetsin I was the same way, I was definitely a chugger pre-op!
  25. Yes you will be, you are still swollen, so make sure you sip, sip, sip!
