I'm Back From The Dead, Unsleeved, But I Have A New Surgery Date!
Once I again I would like thank everyone for their support! it's truly amazing and beautiful to have a supporting cast full of complete strangers that truly understand the trials and tribulations I go through, no, we gone through Pre and post sleeve. Even tho I'm a Pre-sleever still I am extremely well informed about the sleeve process for many reasons Pre and post. I've actually sat down and spoke to several Pre and Post sleevers one on one and received a whole lot of valuable input. Through the course of my return I will post them up for YOUR benefit. After 6 months of being away this website still amazes me. It's Definitely a beautiful thing!

I'm Back From The Dead, Unsleeved, But I Have A New Surgery Date!
First and foremost, I would like to apologize to the everyone who was worried about me and thought something bad happened to me around my previous surgery date. I was going through a whole lot of chaos mentally, emotionally and physically with very little support, so i felt it would be best for me to postpone my surgery for a later date or until everything got better. I know I haven't posted on here since October, maybe September, I don't recall but I'm here to let you know that I'm officially back on the bandwagon. This time im eady to lay all my cards on the table and finish what I previous started last year. I recently received a new surgery date, April 26th, and I'm more excited than previous surgery date I received. Internally I feel at peace and now it time to let it show externally. As most of you may already know, the only support I have is my sister and you all! Everyone else I spoke about it with are completely against my decision and desperately trying to change my mind, but I wont let that happen, no, not a chance in hell lol. I also decided to start a podcast from the beginning of my journey all the way to the end of it. As soon as I get the ball rolling I will definitely keep you all informed. To all my newly sleeved people, from sept. 2011-march 2012, I would like to congratulate you all on taken a major leap of faith and joining the journey to a better life and longer life. You have my FULL SUPPORT! To all my future sleevers I wish you all the best of luck on the pre-journey, I'm right there behind you cheering you on all the way to finishline!

I used to be too fat and now I'm too thin...I just can't win
I kno you are looking for a friend to agree and support but I simply cannot grant that and enable you. Being too thin or too fat are both unhealthy and will effect you terribly. From the looks of it you trade one illness for another and both lead down the same road. I advise you to seek treatment and find a medium and balance that out into your daily life. We are only here to help... Gd luck & god bless

Finally got my Surgery date... YAY for me!
I went to see my surgeon thus morning and after hours of waiting, due to the high volume number of patients and the shortage o staff, he finally gave me a date! I'm utterly excited, after months i can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel, Change is coming and I'm excited to meet and greet her! Doc said it mandatory that i get down to 300lb FIRST though, before my next visit which will be in a month... any ideas on how i can lose some weight? (already seeing my nutritionist, but I'm looking for Sleeve community assistance, who better to help you than the people who are going or went through it already)... feel free to leave suggestions and comments. I'm all ears like Dumbo!

Did Doc put a Band on me instead of sleeve?
Jus check around your belly button area and feel for a port. If you don't feel a port you don't got the band... Easy huh lol

Just diagnosed with severe sleep apnea...
it definitely does go away 80% of the time after you lose a significant amount of weight because you no longer have all that fat pushing on your airways when you sleep.

Alcohol? Carbonated bevs?
for the BEST results the docs say cut out liquor and carbonated beverages out your diet because liquor is just empty calories and carbonated beverages give you a bloated feeling. When you get the sleeve during your weight loss journey youre not able to consume as much food as your body needs, so your Dr breaks it down to percentages which involves Water, Protein, carbons, Vitamins and other necessary nutrients. If you fill ya now small stomach with liquor, you rob your stomach of the space it needs to consume the daily necessities to function on the strict diet implemented by your Dr. You basically decreasing your weight loss results, but once your body is stable in terms of weight, you can resume your drinking activities (be advised though, when you came in for the surgery you wanted to reform your eating habits, so try not to revert back into pass eating habits or you may end up gaining all that weight back and going through all that hard work for nothing). Carbonated beverages are also empty calories and fill up your smaller stomach with air space cause you to be bloated and deprives your body for necessities as far as food intake. Plus in the early stages of the surgery you DONT want to stretch the stomach seeing that it has already been through a severe amount of trauma as it is. SO the answer to your question is no there are no NEVER AGAIN foods Everything should be taken in moderation, period...

This is a cross post, but I feel it is important to those consdiering surgery
Unless you've been obese for most of your life and loss the weight AND managed to keep it off for 3-4 years of your life, I have nothing to say to you. Personal trainers, dietitians and nutritions are only ingredients in weighloss, not the main dish
