Did you guy's get an upper GI or scope prior to your exam? If so did the results show a blockage? My upper GI showed a blockage and I have to get a scope done. The nurse said everyone is required to get the scope before having the sleeve. I am scared. Thanks for you input.

The scope is the final thing I am waiting for before I can schedule my surgery.....and my doctor made it sound very normal. He just wants to make sure there are no surprises when he gets in there while doing the surgery.

Yep, I had to have a scope before my surgeon agreed to sleeve me.. They give you good drugs, so you'll be fine!! LOL

Yep, they knocked me out for mine. Don't remember any of it. They are looking at your esophagus and stomach to see if any problems before they go in to do surgery. Most of us had one done before surgery!

my surgeon requires an upper GI. and he does it himself! i'm not afraid.

I was knocked out for mine no worry you wont feel a thing.

Same here. I was nervous also but the doctor knocked me out with a few meds and when I awoke it felt like nothing happened. Easiest test in the world.
