  1. Have anyone experienced a change in your breath? My sister told me that my breath has a strong metallic smell that was definitely not there before surgery. Very embarrassed to be walking around with stank breath! LOL

YES, oh god yes lol... I was at work and I was saying to myself damn wtf is that smell and why is it following me around... It was my damn breath lol

I started brushing and gargling like crazy 4 times of day

  2. I thought after four days I would be at least 75% and slowly crawling back to 100% but that seems to be too far gone from the truth. Yesterday was feeling well, I wasn't sweating a lot, I barely felt any pain besides that damn acid reflux. So I wake up this morning and oh boy the drama begins. First I wake up with acid reflux that won't go away for nothing, then when it finally goes away and I hop into the shower I became very dizzy and discombobulated. Taking a shower actually took me so time because I began to feel Ly incisions stretching with every movement and pain just happened to tag along, no surprise there. I finally get dressed up suit and tie, you know the whole 3 piece. As soon as I put on my tie I start sweating like crazy and became disoriented again, Smh. After sitting down for a while and making some Protein Shake I bean to sip on it. Everything was getting better, so I thought. I looked up at the time an I'm already an hour late for work, mind you this is a fresh new job that I got before surgery. Now I'm in a rush to ER to the train station because I realize that I am in no condition to drive ANYWHERE with these dizzy spells pop in on me like an unannounced relative. I start walk to the train station and I begin to have stomach pain from the vigorous walking. When I finally get on the train I find a seat and sit down. I reached into my suitcase to grab a bottle of Water and it slips out my hand and rolls across the train. I Lear my bag in my seat and make my way towards the elusive water bottle that refuses to roll back. When I finally grab the bottle I returned to my seat only to find my suitcase has been replaced by an elderly woman. So now I'm in pain, pissed, sweating and becoming extremely aggravated because my stop is literally 12 stops away then I have another 9min walk to catch my connecting train to my final destination. The train decides to be an a*****e and goes local which made it a 19 stop train ride. Mind you I'm standing up in this train that practically enjoys rocking from side to side like an isolated baby carriage. This motion starts to stir up this discomforting feeling within my guys that slowly begins to aggravate me with each repeated motion. Now I'm jus mean grilling the elderly lady who took what was rightfully mine. When I finally get to my stop my legs and calves are burning and my stomach is knotted up like Christmas lights. I have no choice but to walk slowly in hopes of unknotting this irritating condition that is desperately trying to fight me at the moment. With all this going on I come to find out that my connecting train has already left and another one would not be appear till 30 mins from now due to a technical difficulty along the tracks going northbound. Now I'm over 2 hrs and 30mins late feeling the, pardon my mouth, weathered down **** in the middle of road. When the train finally decides to come it is PACKED UP, practically overflowing, like shaken soda bottle, with people. I mean getting a foot in a door was like trying to fit a a mans size 14 foot into a woman's 6. I mean it was totally ridiculous. If there was ever a fire hazardous this would be the ultimate definition, period. I decide to wait for the next train, since I'm already late I doubt it could be any worse. So I wait and the next train is jus as bad as the last one who passed. I jumped on it and I couldn't have been more uncomfortable... People were pressed on me like starch. My stomach starts to hurt again... Acid reflux l, so I popped a Tums and drank some water. I finally get off the train at my destination walk into my new work site which I find to be gorgeous only to find out that I will be starting working officially in a week because they are still going through an organizational reconstruction... Just my damn luck

  3. My surgeon repaired a hernia during my surgery which he told my sister I shouldn't get acid reflux' date=' wrong! I just can't figure what is causing it because I'm still drinking Protein Shakes and not eating. But when I lay down I feel acid coming up in my throat.[/quote']

Yeah I had a hernia repaired also during my surgery. He never said anything about this or how to prevent it Smh... Craziness

  4. Protein gives you energy plus it develops lean muscle forcing your body to burn fat for energy and not actual muscle... Without it you will lose muscle and fat at the sametime which will cause a bad reaction. In most cases extemu saggy or loose skin...

Your best bet is to find a Protein shake that you can stomach or something you can mix the Protein powder into to void the taste that makes you nausea.

There is no way you can escape eating protein... After the sleeve it's 65% of your diet

  5. I do feel pain though when I breathe heavily or stretch :(... I didn't have a drain or a Catherder i was happy about that lol

I was actually the only one who Walked into the OR without a stretcher... I spoke to all 8 ppl who were assisting in the surgery and it was a great relaxing convo. Dr. Gorecki has to be one of the best damn surgeons I've ever came across... His team definitely ranks amongst the top 5. They always came in to check up on me, cracked jokes, and kept me relaxed throughout my stay at NY METHODIST hospital

  6. Did anyone feel extremely nausea after the surgery? Because I was in a lot of pain and nausea like crazy lol... My nurse kept tellin me to be patient the morphine will kick it soon, but I didn't care I wanted it right now lol...

For some reason the gas pain did a number on me but unlike most of you I didn't feel anything in my shoulder and really didn't need any gas-x at all

  7. A wrap? Are you serious. Muscle' date=' time, age, length of time you were fat and genetics all play a part in your skin's elasticity. I didn't have the skin issues I had when I lost weight before because I lost weight in a different way. I kept my muscle in tact. This time around...the huge calorie defecit and not working out cause me to be flabby. Sure in time some of it will snap back, but I am prone to stretch marks. That skin is already stretched. Some people won't have skin problems and some people will, but I wouldn't go spending money on creams, wraps, skin scrubbing. Only time and muscle mass will tell how much snap back you are going to get. The rest, if you are still dissastisfied will have to be surgically removed.[/quote']

A wrap cleanses dead skin cells which in turn releases chemicals that rejuvenates the skin. With the rejuvenation process in full effect this helps with the skin elasticity which also assist this the epidemic of loose skin in formerly obese individuals... Elasticity is the key to each and everyone of these suggestions provided. Remember that what may work for YOU doesn't work for everybody and the reverse remains true.

  8. Seems like everyone is coming out of surgery successfully and I couldn't be more happier! So to everyone who jumprrd from pre to post op im wishibg you all a speedy recovery and a healthy weight loss journey. We have a few days left in April, it's almost time to wrap things up, can you feel the magic lol... When I first started this thread I didn't expect to see all of these responses but now 24 days down the line I couldn't be more surprised... This is a beautiful place and I'm proud to be a member of this endless journey of success!

  9. I think all of these are bull. Sorry...just my opinion. The biggest loser people are lifting weights like crazy and still have flabby skin. Genetics and age are your only hope! If any of these have been medically proven let me know. I will give it a try. I think building muscle mass might be my only hope... But skin removal surgery might just have to happen :)

I respect your opinion but you couldn't be more wrong, genetics and age do play a major role, but it is NOT your only hope. All of these are opinions that worked for countless other people. I'm not saying they are all easy fixes and cures but they may be very useful for SOME people, not all. You say they are all bull, but have you tried any of them for yourself? Have you attempted any? There is no REAL solution to this epidemic but there are many ways to treat the symptoms of it and these are some. I'm sure there are many other treatments.

You speak of the biggest loser lifting weights like crazy and still have flabby skin. Well, did you err stop to think why? They are losing TOO much weight TOO rapidly. Facts show that it takes up to 2 years or more for your skin to actually catch to your weight loss progression. Plus that show is all about fast weight loss not healthy weight loss.

Building muscle mass does help with loose skin because it fills in the pockets needed to properly structure skin from the inside out, but you have to understand that your skin is an organ also. By keeping that organ healthy you are ultimately increasing your chances to limit the amount of loose skin you will come to see.
