Early Stall!
After 2 weeks, I broke my stall, and I've come down another 6 pounds in the last two weeks.

Hardest Thing Ive Ever Done
The first month is the hardest! Keep your eye on the prize, and I promise it WILL get easier! Now that I'm 6 weeks out, I feel SO much better, and look back at that first month and remember how very hard it was. But now, it's soo much easier! Hang in there! You got this!!

Early Stall!
I'm stalled AGAIN. I hit 25 lbs down on July 29th, and then gained a pound, stayed there for many days, and lost it again, so basically I haven't lost any weight since July 29th. And my surgery was just on July 11th. I am getting about 500-750 calories a day AND working out 4x a week. I am not getting all my water in, but I should still be losing. This is so frusterating. No wonder I quit at so many diets before the surgery, hit a stall, and feel hopeless, then give up. Glad I can't give up now!

The Scale Ugh!
Me. I was about the same at two weeks post op. I hit 25 lbs lost, and I've stalled for 2 weeks. It is frusterating, but hopefully will pass soon.

1 Month And 1 Week Post Op
You're doing awesome to still be losing 1-2 pounds a day! I stopped losing that much about 10 days after surgery. It's been slow for me, but you seem to be doing fantastic!! Way to go!

Ready To Give Up...
How far post-op are you? From your description sounds like you are very early on, and that pain and nausea sounds very normal, and trust me it WILL get better! I promise! The swelling on your tummy from the surgery will relax a little and you'll be able to eat a little bit more, not much overall though, but enough to make you feel better! And I think you will get used to the low amounts of food you'll eat at a time, and that will make it easier also!

Question About Timing
I was not mentally ready to work 9 days after surgery, I was not taking in enough calories to be able to "think" properly. At only about 200 calories, I was not on my a-game. Now, at a month post op, I am definitely ready for work, taking in more calories, I can think clearly again.

Early Stall!
THats about when Mine started also. However, i got on the scale this morning and it FINALLY moved! Down 1.4#. yay! Hopefully it will move several more before stalling again, but we will see!

Early Stall!
thanks ladies! It's been at least 10 or 11 days and my scale is STUCK. I keep thinking it MUST be broken, but I know it's just a stall. I've been working out 4 days a week for an hour each time, so I know I'm doing the right thing, so I'll just have to wait it out. Can't wait to see that scale move!

Full Feeling?
My NUT described it as a tight feeling at the base of your sternum, or ribcage. She was right, after she shed light on that feeling, I waited for it, felt it, stopped eating and it saved me from taking that extra bite that can cause the pain.

Am I Losing Too Fast
32 lbs in 13 weeks seems great to me! I wish I was still trucking along, but I hit a stall after week 2, and still stalled (week 3). I've lost 25 lbs in a month.

Early Stall!
I'm 3 weeks out, lost 25 lbs (including pre-op diet) and I'm stalled for over a week now. Has anyone else had a stall this early?

Three Questions About Vsg...
Surgeons are VERY willing to work with you, especially finding your co-morbidities, etc. to try and help you qualify, after all, they WANT to do your surgery so they can get paid! My surgeons looked at my complete medical history and found 2 co-morbidities. They know what the insurance is looking for, and do what they can to help you qualify. I had a really stressful period of time last year, my blood pressure spiked, I raced myself to the doctor, and bam, I'm diagnosed with high blood pressure. Do what you gotta do.

Sex After Weight Loss
I was able to "resume sexual activity" yesterday, after my 2 week post op appt. And with 24 lbs gone, it was like a whole new world, felt like a new person. Just wanted to give you pre-surgery people something to look forward to! And I guess I could all that a Non-scale Victory also! heehee

Starting puree's tomorrow! yay! And I need ideas. I went to the deli and picked up some smoked chicken salad, tuna salad, and yogurt. I already have eggs, just need a few ideas of things that might go down well. Thanks!

5 Week Post Op
thanks for posting! I am two weeks post -op so I was very interested to see what you are eating now. I just moved to purees, and can only eat about 2 tbl. at a time. Or about 3/4 of a string cheese (and thats pushing it, lol) THanks again for posting!

Surgery Is Tomorrow
Yay!!! Hope you have a good experience, with "manageable" pain, nothing you can't handle. You got this!

12 Days Post Op
I'm also 12 days post op. I feel like i'm a newborn, eating every 2 hours, lol. I eat about every 2-3 hours, about 2 tablespoons at a time. Sipping throughout the day. I should do better about tracking the portions, but portions are so small its hard to measure. On full liquids, I eat protein Atkins advantage shakes, yogurt, pudding, and creamy soups (blended in the blender). and fudgesicles. (all the above are the sugar free/no sugar added versions, except the soups.

I Can't Poop. :-(
I went 7 days, and it happened naturally. Pre-Op I had to take suppositories to go, I was so stopped up.

2 Weeks Out, No Weight Loss In 3 Days?!
I'm interested in this. I am 1.5 weeks post op, and have been losing a lb a day, except this morning. I knew it was a lot to hope for a continued pound a day weight loss, but was loving it while i had it. I was wondering how long that would last, but this morning I got my answer, lol. Hoping for another pound in the morning. We'll see. I'm only getting about 400 calories.
