I haven't been on here in a while. I have been having a lot of problems. I have a leak. I am on a feeding tube right now. Also, didn't you say they scratched your uvala? I had to had another EGD Fri. and that happened to me. How long til that goes away?Glad you are doing well!!!

I am doing a lot better. STILL have a feeding tube! almost 6 months! I go back this Friday, and praying that the leak is finally healed. It has been a long, hard road, but I think I'm at the end.

I finally made my decision after a month of prayer & research I have decided to go with the sleeve rather than bypass. I feel sooo much better finally making the decision!!! Now is the hard part....I have to tell my family!!!!

My husband has never been a fan of WLS, but after going to my Dr. with me and asking a lot of questions he is coming around. He is being very supportive. I wouldn't be able to do it without him!

My family's opinion is very important to me and I'm so afraid they are going to freak out and try to talk me out of it! I'm already nervous enough without hearing a lot of negativity!!! Please pray for me!!!!

I excited to start this journey! I have really enjoyed this website and all of the inspiring stories! I'm looking forward to getting to you y'all better and hopefully can help inspire someone too!

I had a pick line in the hospital for 8 days, but then I got to come home so they did the feeding tube. I am so scared. I do have excellent Dr's. and they are very positive. I'm just scared.

So it took you 22 days for it to heal? My Dr. said he won't give a time frame because everyone is so different. I just want an idea. So was it like starting all over agian on liquids once ...

I think soo!! I have been soo busy the last couple of days I hadn't really had time to think about it. When the hospital called today, the hair on my arms stood straight up!! LOL!!! I'm ready to be on the other side I know that much!! I'll post as soon as I can!!! : )

I'm taking off two weeks. I'm really glad I did that. A lot of people go back sooner, but I'm 9 days post op, and NOT at all ready to go back. I'm not in pain or anything, but mentally I'm not ready. I'm having a hard time with the post op diet being around my family that is eating. That has been very hard. Dr. Barker wants 3 week liquid. I think most people on here only have a week or two. I want to do what he thinks is best. It is tough though!

When did you say your sleeve is again?

Oh my goodness!!! I made it!!! I am feeling better each day! The first two days were ROUGH!!!! It took a while for the anesthesia to get out of my system. I have never had major surgery, so didn't know how it would effect me. I was so, so nauseous, and had headaches for two days. I never really experienced "pain" except right after ,before I was given anything.

I'm having trouble getting all my liquid in. I guess that is normal. Do y'all wake up during the night to drink?? I woke up with another headache and wondered if I was dehydrated. IDK. I go to the Dr. Thurs. curious to see what they think.

Can't say enough about the thoughts and prayers!! I needed it!!!

So good to know about the shower! I got home Sun. afternoon.

Today has been my best day, but still not anywhere close to normal. I'm starting to get kinda emotional. I did really good on the liquid the week before, but it seems soooo much harder now! Evey night someone is bringing food for my family, and I just sit and smell it, and can't do a thing about it!! I just keep telling myself that its a little over 2 weeks and I'll start on soft foods. I'm sooo sick of protein. I really didn't think that was going to be a problem, but now I can't stand any of it.

Thank you soo much for the words of advice!! I will for sure ask him to show me!!! I know they tell us stuff, but until you have gone through it, I don't think it really sinks in! On your uvula, is that for everyone, or your just happended to get scratched? That sounds horrible! If you can't swallow, it sooo hard to drink!!!

I am SOOOO EXCITED for you that you are at 199!!! I can not remember the last time I was under 200!!! Congratulations!!!! So happy for you!!! Take it easy and don't over do it!!! Thank you soo much for the insipiring words! My Dad has always been very supportive in my weight loss. He split the cost of Jenny Craig with me, because there was no way I could afford it. I think they will come around. I think he and my step mom will be ok. My mom & step dad will take some talking to! My mom is such a worry wart! It drives us all crazy! She'll have to figure it out!

We took the pain ball out Mon. morning. I was kinda worried about that, but it was no problem at all!!!

Do you know what time the support group starts? I would really like to go to that!!!

WONDERFUL!!!!! Thank goodness!!! I didn't know if that dark cloud was ever going to go away! I woke up Mon. morning and felt totally different!!! Whew! Glad that part is ovveerrr!!!!!

I got out and went to my sons football game last night and that was great!

I found out I had a leak, because I got sick. I couldn't even drink water without feeling naseauted. I'm feeling bettr the last few days, but so ready to get rid of the feeding tube. I will be going to the Dr. every week from now on til they know its totally healed. Hopefully wont be long!
