Vomit!
That is why we are supposed to eat SLOWLY!! It take a few minutes to realize that we are full. If you wait a minute or two in between bites, you will know when you are truly done and will not feel that way. It will also help if you measure your food. If you are supposed to not eat more than 1/2 cup at this point, then measure that amount out and eat slowly. You will NEVER feel that way if you measure and eat slowly!!! I am almost 5 months out and have never done that because I measure all my food and eat slowly. I guess you would only do it once tho if it hurts that bad! Feel better! Kelly

HOW can u possibly get 60+grams of Protein without supplements??
It is easier the futher out you go because you are able to eat more. Try doing 15-20g at each meal! That will get you there. Kelly

Vitamin Water Zero
NO!! Protein drinks make me gag! Kelly

If you could....
NEVER!! I think you will find very FEW people on here that regret their decision on the sleeve and the ones that do, are fairly early in the game and are thinking "what have I done", which pretty much everyone does at some point. But that soon passes once we get healed up and learn how to live with the new tummy! I would do it again 100 times over. Kelly

Protein, Protein, Protein
the further out you get the easier it gets because you are able to eat a little more. kelly

First Exercise Challenge Met
That post made me smile. Good for you! I remember when that was me. I could not walk either without getting out of breath and feeling like my legs were going to give out on me! I want you to know that you WILL get to the point where you can and will want to walk forever! I now walk and run 5 miles at a time and never even think about it. This sleeve is such a blessing!! Hugs, Kelly

For the smokers
I quit smoking long before I considered WLS, but I used the Nicoderm CQ patches and I must say, THEY WORK!! Go buy a box at Walmart and put one on. They totally take the edge off!! You can do it. The first week is the WORST. Don't give in, it is all down hill after that first week! Good luck to you! Kelly

Vitamin Water Zero
I drink Vitamin Water Zero all the time. It is great. It does have carbs tho, so if you are low carbing, make sure to count them. I am drinking Glow-strawberry-guanabana right now. SOOO GOOD!! Kelly

How long did you wait to drive?
I was told I could drive the day after stopping the pain meds. So, I drove about 3 days after my surgery because I did not take pain medication after leaving the hospital. Kelly

Does anybody drink energy drinks??
I don't, never have. I would say no because of the caffeine and aren't they carbonated too? Carbonation is not supposed to be good for our sleeve either. Kelly

So this is what is feels like???
I was amazed when I first experience my restriction. 3, yes, 3 bites of cream of chicken soup-thinned when I went to full liquids. I was so blown away that I could get full on so little. BUT, that is what we sign up for! Kelly

Having Major Second Thoughts
I don't know who you are getting your information from, but there really isn't anything that you CAN NOT have with the sleeve. You gradually have to work into eating things again, but you can not ever not have things again. I was told that coconut and celery could be hard to digest, but not to ever not eat it again. Also, there aren't any medications that you can not take with the sleeve. I take a sublingual B12, not the shots and I am anemic. So, don't know where you are getting that from either. I NEVER drink protein drinks, they are NASTY and I would rather eat my protein anyway, it stays with me longer than liquids do. I did drink them in the begining when I couldn't eat for the first 2 weeks, but that was it. You really should do some research and if your Dr. told you this, find a new Dr. Kelly

What did everyone take to work with them that first week back at work? (food wise)
I went back to work on day 7, so I was still on full-liquids. I would have brought protein drinks and yogurt, grits, pudding, applesauce and creamed-strained soups. So glad those days are over! Kelly

Why am I not excited?
I think it takes time for our brains to catch up with us. I too felt this way and thought "when will it ever be enough??" Someone posted something to me about me needing to let myself be happy and I needed to hear that. I thought I wasn't worthy or something and that what I had acomplished at that moment was not good enough. I have come a lot further since that day and I am here to tell you that one day it will just click and you will feel awesome! I think mine was when I could fit into size 10's. That was the happiest day of my life. NEVER in my life did I wear a 10. I can remember in the 6th grade wearing a 13!! I now wear an 8, but really need a 6. You will get there. WE as sleever's just need to realize that our minds our funny and even at the size I am now, I don't see me as being this small. Others tell me how thin I am, I don't get it. I mean, I know I am thinner, but I don't see me like they do. My dr. tells me that one day I will. It just happens so fast that our brains can't catch up that fast. Please allow yourself to be happy tho!! Happiness comes from within and you deserve to be happy! Go buy yourself something nice! Hugs! Kelly

Scale hasn't moved in WEEKS!
I feel ya! I did not lose hardly ANYTHING the whole month of August. 4lbs is all. I mean, I know a loss is a loss, but come on!! I also have lost 3 lbs this month. So in almost 2 months, I have lost 7lbs! NOT COOL!! I am only a few lbs from goal and I do workout and eat like I should, but this has me nuts!! It is what it is and I am happy where I am now, but wish these last few lbs would disappear!! Kelly

Support Groups in Real Life
I am with you on that Tiffy. I originally wanted to join a support group because I was "told to" and also thought I should. I have lost over 100lbs on my own and really don't need to hear people complain either. I know what to do and how to do it! At my 6 week check up my dr. told me NOT to go to group meeting and to stay off of these forums. There were too many people that thought they were dr.'s!! LOL He said I obviously didn't need anyone's help (besides his) and that me and my sleeve were doing just fine on our own. I enjoy this forum, but really don't think group meetings are for me either. Kelly

I might have screwed up the whole thing!
My dr. advised that they are looking more for what type of support system you have and if you have eating disorders or ever have. Also, what got you to this point. Hope this helps. Kelly

Post-Op Support
I was sleeved almost 5 months ago and have never went to one support group meeting. I wanted to, but it just didn't work out. YOU WILL BE FINE!! We are stronger than we think we are and you can come to this site to have just about any question answered. You also have your dr. for the rest. Kelly
