Weight Loss Has Slowed Down =(

Thanks everyone for the insight I do appreciate it. My exercising should be bumped up a bit I do agree, I try to exercise as often as possible but i am not on a regular routine I have a 4 year old thats keeps me on my toes & when he naps or goes to bed early Im able to get it in. My husbands coming home from a deployment shortly so I know ill be able to make trips to the gym on a daily basis which im really really excited about. I think i just need to get back into a routine & keep pushing im sure ill get over this slump shortly. I had some fluid removed from my last fill because I was so tight I couldnt even get water down, I was in so much pain just from the water trying to pass they had to remove fluid, I am able to eat about a cup and half of food at meal time, so im going to kick up my will power & eat less & get my butt back in the gym. thanks all =D
  2. Hello everyone, I havent posted in while, its been 7 months since I have been banded Ive lost a total of 50 lbs. I WISH it was ALOT more, but I cant seem to get anymore weight off. My restrictions pretty good, I can still eat a little more than I think I should with the band but I dont want to be toooooo tight. I must say I do eat a little fast that I know I should still be working on. But im wondering how people get to like 120 lbs lost lol. Im really really curious. Any idea insight, suggestions advice will be greatly appreciated. Thank you! & by the way the 50 lbs lost Ive only went down two pant sizes which I wish would have been a lot more.

Will power.'I need some help pls

Thanks for the advice. I definitely will change it up. I'm hoping after another fill that will be the kick in the butt. What's better calorie counting or carb counting?
  4. Okay. So I haven't posted in a while. I have been banded since April 7 2011 I started at 271 and I'm at 248 that was mostly lost during preop dieting. I have got one fill which I do have restriction but can eat a lot still. I have been working out daily, I do Zumba an hour a day Monday thru Friday, I'm not the most careful person watching what I eat but I do do my best and try. I havent lost a pound since my fill a month ago and it's very very discouraging. I see people say the weight drops off fast for them but I'm completely stuck. I have 1 pound that completely just goes up one day down one day and so fourth. I have another fill next week. I hate being discouraged but it's not easy to be happy about not loosing. When I go for a fill and they see I haven't lost is depressing. Any suggestions. Do you count calories or cabs. Ect. Any help I'd appreciate as well as advice.
  5. So. I was banded April 7th. When this all started I was 271 lbs I am now 244 lbs but now it's kinda jus came to a halt. I will admit I don't always eat the healthiest I do not snack though and stay away from sweets I eat out alot (more so restraunt like) which I need to stop. I don't have much motivation to work out or eat healthier. I'm fed up with being this weight but were do you find the encouragement and determination to take this band head on and just work your butt off Ect. I jus need a kick in the hiney I'm guessing lol.
  6. Hey, I'm an army wife, too (well, now retired). Just wanted to see how things are going for you on your journey! All the best to you!

  7. I had some mashed potatoes today which dr said was ok and my shoulder pain is so severe I actually had watery eyes from the pain. When I breath In it stings, nothing reliefs the pain, gas-x, tried baby gas drops, tums, I also tried a Mexican remedy my mother I'n law did on me and nothing worked. I'm 5 days post op. It's like heartburn and air at the same time help. Any suggestions

    How did your relationship change?

A friend of mine her husband was unsupportive he was so use to her being overweight he felt threatened that she would find someone else after weight loss. After her surgery they were just fine though she has shown him that she doesn't want anyone else and he is happy with her results. My husband has been supportive since I first discussed getting the band with him. I'm insecure about how I look and he's looking forward to the day were I feel happy and good about myself because for song long I've hate everything about the excess weight. GL with everything wish you and your husband all the best
  9. I am 5 days post op and still I'n alot of pain. Last night I had pain I'n my shoulder that felt like I wanted to vomin from it hurting so much. That I'n assuming is the gas. I have went thru alot of gas-x chews and strips nothings working. My pain Meds dont work either. I have a hard time taking a deep breath and have to lay practically sitting up. The biggest pain factor for me is my hunger pains when my stomach growls I tighten up and bend over to put pressure but the pains are more then awful. Hope I feel better sooner than later. As well as everyone else whose having pain

I was banded Thursday and still have alot of gas in me. I've went thru alot of packets of gas-x it does help but not completely I have gas stuck in my shoulder and the pain is brutal. I feel a little better but still having alot of pain and hunger pains are a killer it does get better by day Hang in there
  11. I'm just scared of stretching my stomach from eating mushies to soon. Is that possible I never have more than 2-3oz of food at a time even though I could eat alot more I'm limiting myself to only that

    5 days post op

I'm pretty weak to. I think it has to do with the food intake. I' Was banded on Thursday and I feel light headed alot an often. I wasn't supposed to start mushie mushies but I did have some mashed potatoes since then I have a small bowl like a about 2oz and it jus totake the hunger pain away and it has helped I feel tired still just not as tired.
  14. I ate some chicken noodle soup unblended but I mushed the noodles up and chewed really good to were it wpuldve got thru a straw. It filled me up so fast and I can't explain how delicious it was. I may add some mashed potatoe soup today it's thicker than the chicken noodle but I'm going to try and make it more liquidy this time. The hunger pains are sooo bad if I'm standing the growling will make me shaky and light headed so I have to have something in my stomach. I am watching my calories and drinking 3 protein shakes a day with lots of water and dr said crystal light was fine
  15. So my doctor just called me to check up on how i have been. which i thought was very nice lol. & he asked if ive thrown up and been able to drink more than 4oz in an hour and i have been able to. I did mention my hunger pains when my stomach growls it hurts extreeeemllyyyy bad! So he said i can throw in some pureed stuff, anything thats not completly solid but more of a liquid form, im supposed to be on liquids for 2 weeks and im only 3 days post op. He said i can have chicken noodle soup as long as the noodles are soft. I know its best to leave it up to doctor and follow his rules i juts was wondering if anyone else was able to consume noodles at only 3 days post op. and chicken noodle soup noodles are VERY VERY soft they mash up in my mouth very easy.
