  1. I've had a tiny splash of ketchup on my eggs and I've used a tiny bit of arby's sauce on my bun-less sandwich- it hasn't taken me out of ketosis- but I watch my carbs and put everything down into myfitnesspal.com so that I can keep track. Also that bun-less arby's small sandwich lasted me for 3 days- so I think if the amount you eat is very small - if you have to have it- try it and see how things go. I also use full fat mayo but I use mayo very rarely- only in tuna or just a little on a wasa flat bread. I lose at a steady pace when I keep my carbs around 35 per day- but not everyone is led to be carb conscious. I'm very carb sensitive.

  2. I had a teeny piece of my brothers Deep Fried Turkey about one teaspoon sized- one same sized portion of my Father's smoked turkey- a very teensy bite of ham, 1 teaspoonful of green been casserole and one tiny bite of this wonderful gluten free homemade apple loaf.

Then I splurged and had 2 tiny sips of some sparkling grape juice which went down ok- to my surprise- but I left it sit in the ice for a long time before I tasted it. And I lost another 2 lbs since day before yesterday which broke my 1 week stall- when I went out of town to visit my friend at the spinal cord rehab facility and had a really hard time finding low carb/high Protein foods. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.

  3. I'm 2 months out today and I tried salad for the first time. I got a salad from subway and ate about 1/10 of the salad and all of the meat. It took me all day long- but so far no symptoms

with my tummy and actually before surgery my tummy was a little sensitive when I ate a lot

of lettuce but I seem to be feeling fine and boy was that salad good. First one I've had since August.

  4. I like to stay in ketosis. I check every day with the dip sticks. Unless I go over 45 carbs I'm steady with ketosis and it does help my weight loss. I go into a stall for a few days if I eat too many and then it takes me a good 2-3 days to get back in and the weight loss kicks right in.

Also, the smell is always described as fruity but to me it smells like gasoline. It's a weird kind of smell for sure.

  5. The two main types of e-liquid are known as PG Propylene Glycol – used in food flavorings and also in fog machines at

nightclubs to produce the smoke appearance and

VG Vegetable Glycerin which is more syrupy and is derived from vegetables.

Generally the PG has a better throat hit and flavor than VG while VG can produce a little more vapor.

PG is the most common e-liquid on the market today.

PG is the standard generic Fluid used in most mixes and is ~80% of a standard Fluid mix . VG is sometimes used but not common.

When some have an allergic reaction to PG (~3% of folks) VG is an option when buying fluid. In stock carto's however it isn't available in mass if at all (that I know of). VG is generally thinned down with a 5% alcohol base since it is thicker, but the advantage

is it has an increased vapor over PG. It also is blamed for a softening of throat hit (as it's called dumb term, but..) and flavor. Because of

that many don't like using VG, due to the softening , many mix match to get a balance and added vapor (say a 50/50% mix).

    VG is sweeter as well.

VG is thinned with alcohol, but not in a large percentage (above).

A 24 mix can be cut """but """ at the expense of flavor. So if you cut your 24mg in half with a 50% mix of (either)VG or PG, you of course

get a 12mg but you also lose half the flavoring content. Best to buy a matching fluid in (say) 12mg and cut 50/50 , getting 18mg end product,

with the same flavor. See the methodology ?

  6. I'm down about 34 lbs since day of surgery- I have psoriatic arthritis but it's been mild lately of course the weather is changing but-

I'm having increased lower back pain since I've lost weight. I'm trying to figure out if this is normal or if I might be adjusting to the weight loss

and standing different or doing something different with my posture. Has anyone else experienced this?

I use the Tornada (tank) mega but the regular Tornado is nice too. These are much bigger than some offered and don't look or feel like a cigarette but

they do have some that look like cigarettes if holding a cigarette is a big part of your habit-

I highly recommend the Tank versions- as its so simple to refill and last longer.

Here is the link for the liquids I normally get cherry or apple red label and I've gotten the tobacco flavored to but I ended up preferring

the apple and cherry- you can order most of these in 0mg or even taper down to eventually get to 0mg.

These is a 1-800 number if you need help making sure you have picked out the correct parts- for your unit or have other questions

and they have kits- that have everything in one box. Definitely get the manual one with the button to push.

  8. I'm counting carbs but I'm just a month out. I eat Shrimp, Scallops, Salmon, Flounder- any of the fishes baked or grilled- not fried or battered.

I eat Chobani Yogurt, String cheese, Pork rinds when I want to eat something kind of bad, I make a smoothie with Protein Powder, yogurt,

strawberry, blueberry and a little banana about 2 times a week, I tried chicken this week and it went down fine- it was in a dish I made for my office-

the buffalo chicken dip- I just didn't eat the tortilla chips that I took in with it- I had some pork roast this week that was roasted and very moist-

Today I went to Arby's and got a plain sandwich and ate only the meat about 1 oz- and I have plenty to take to work with me for tomorrow's lunch.< /p>

I've made eggface's crab bites, shrimp bites and plan to make one of her cassouletts tomorrow with sausage and Beans.< /p>

I've had beef Jerky, eggs, fried and poached- and tuna salad with bagle chips- sometimes I still fall back on SF Popsicles, SF pudding or Jello.< /p>

And to drink I just have water- on occasion Decaf tea with stevia or international suisse mocha decaf coffee sugar free.< /p>

I don't often meet my Protein goal- I usually fall somewhere in between 40-50 grams of protein per day but I'm working on it.

I also use the test strips a few times a week to make sure I'm still in ketosis and I notice when I let too many carbs slide in that my levels really change.

But when I go to exercise- I try to get in a little bit of complex carbs through beans or dense veggies- I don't think simple carbs are good for me right now.

A lot of those things listed- I couldn't eat until I was cleared for solids- stage 4.

But- I think it's a personal choice to low carb it or not- for me- I KNOW that carbs are not my friend.

My daily carb intake is usually between 19-35 tho on occasion I go over 40.

  9. I'm 5 weeks out tomorrow- I can eat about 1-2 ounces a sitting. For instance 3 medium shrimp or half a roll up of one slice deli turkey with hummus spread

and a thin slice of swiss cheese rolled up- or 1ounce shredded chicken with cream Soup sauce but I can eat 3 ounces of chobani yogurt.

I tend to eat something about every 3 hours. It does seem like this week that I can eat a bit more at a time- I'm not sure if that means more swelling

has gone done and I'm healing or if my sleeve is just relaxing more.
