  8. I told everyone at my job. You have to understand I have worked with most of these peeps for ten years, so really we are like a family. Everyone that I know of was very supportive of me. As a matter of fact two people went on the pre op diet with me as a sign of solidarity. Another started her own diet program. I think I'm kinda a guinea pig. LOL. They're just waiting to see if this works for me they might get it done too. So far I have had awesome support from family and friends. It is a very personal choice to tell or not. I have not regretted it..... yet. Fingers crossed. Deb
  9. Congrats on getting your surgery date. How exciting!!! I know you will keep us updated with your progress. Deb
  10. Ok peeps I went to my surgeon's office for my first post-op appointment yesterday. I just had to share with you guys. I HAVE LOST 30 POUNDS SINCE AUGUST 3. That's when my 2 weeks pre-op diet started. They were totally blown away, so was I. Since surgery I have had no hunger and had to practically force myself to eat a hardboiled egg with lite mayo mixed with it yesterday. My first real food since before my pre op diet. Yes, I am a heavyweight and the weight will initially come off quicker, but I AM PUMPED!!!!! I am on a mission. I AM LOVING THIS TOOL!!!! DID YOU HEAR ME? I AM LOVING THIS TOOL. So all totalled I have lost 46 pounds since April when I went to my first informational seminar. WOO HOO!!!!!
  11. Chrisite, great videos. You are really working that sleeve.:001_tt2: Deb
  12. Congrats Nancy.:001_tt2: I'm just 9 days post-op,but right now I feel great with no hunger what so ever and so will you too. As others have said "Welcome to the loser's bench." Very exciting times ahead. Deb
  13. I was on my pre-op diet for two weeks which consisted of unlimited sugar free popsicles and Jello, broth, and one 8 oz. glass of skim milk, a low carb/cal. yogurt and 60 grams of Protein shakes. My one week post-op diet was the same minus the milk and yogurt. Today is the day I'm suppose to be able to eat cottage cheese, string cheese, tuna.etc.... for one meal, then go back to drinking Water and Protein Shakes for the rest of the day. Well..... I don't have any HUNGER!!!!! Nothing sounds good to me and the smell of food kinda makes me nauseous. I don't want to eat. I know I should, but? :confused1:ANYONE ELSE FEEL THIS WAY? Deb
  14. Love it. Girl you are soooo funny. Deb

  24. I have Federal BCBS of Kansas City. From the informational seminar until approval took me about 3 months. I had a psych eval, met with a dietician, physical therapist and had a EGD in that time frame. Once I got my approval, was surgery was scheduled for 3 weeks later. Two weeks before surgery I had lab work, EKG, and chest X-ray in the same day. Please keep in mind my surgeon is very much in demand and I think that's why it took so long. Because we all know once we go to a seminar and have made up our minds that the sleeve is what we want...... we want it NOW. Good luck to all and best wishes!!!! Deb
  25. Hmm interesting. Now.... when does this kick in? You guys crack me up.:lol0::wave:
